Australian Iced Tea
This cocktail is a very refreshing one. Just right for a hot summer’s day or during a rather hectic party celebration. This sure will keep you going.
And with all the ingredients at hand, it would only take 5 minutes to make exc
luding making the sugar syrup.
To make the sugar syrup
Combine half a cup of water with half a cup of caster sugar in a small saucepan. Heat it up and stir continuously until the sugar granules have dissolved. Bring it to the boil then remove from heat; let it cool and refrigerate until needed.
(This is only to treat yourself, adjust the ingredients if you wanted to share 😉 lol)
3 teaspoons chilled sugar syrup (see above for the recipe)
3 teaspoons vodka
3 teaspoons white rum
3 teaspoons while tequila
2 teaspoons Cointreau
3 teaspoons gin
3 teaspoons lime juice
6 ice cubes
1/3 cup crush ice
1/3 cup chilled ginger beer
Lime wedge to garnish (I am afraid I used all the lime to make the juice will buy extra next time.)
1. Combine syrup, vodka, rum, tequila, Cointreau, gin, juice and ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and shake like you have never shaken before. Ooops the cocktail has gotten to me a bit. hickkk
2. Place crush ice in a cocktail glass or any pretty stem glass; strain the the cocktail mixture over the ice.
3. Top with ginger beer. If you have a leftover lime, cut it into a nice wedge and use as garnish by anchoring it on the lip of the glass.
Remember: NEVER EVER DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
