Gliese 581g – Goldilocks Zone

This is absolutely amazing. There has been news that there is a planetary system around a red star called Gliese 581 which is approximately 20.5 light-years away (a light-year is 6 million million miles).

What is exciting scientists and astronomers is that one of the planets, designated Gliese 581g appears to be orbiting its star within the so-called “Goldilocks Zone” where temperatures are not too hot or not too cold; it is an earth-like planet.

Our planet Earth orbits our sun in such a zone.
