Touch Your Heart (KDrama Review & Summary)

Cast:

I have been looking forward to a collaboration between Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na since the Goblin.  Their chemistry crackled and her it is.

Diving in, watch this post!

Episode 1

Yoo In Na is just adorable in this drama,  I love her acting as an inept actress.  Her scene with the gorgeous Jang Ki Yong, who has a cameo role as an actor, is so brilliant,  Based on this first episode alone, which I enjoyed thoroughly, I can totally recommend this as a joyful Kdrama to watch.

Anyway, Oh Yoon Seo is the goddess of Korean entertainment but her brilliance had somewhat deemed because she was involved in a drug use scandal.

Suddenly no one wants to know her. Because her persona was of being sweet and pure, her lack of acting prowess was ignored but now with the scandal, no one really wants to hire her services as an actress.

Her manager though brought a script when he was visiting her.  The script was not meant for her but for another actress.

Oh Yoon Seo grabbed the script and started reading it and in her mind eyes can see Jang Ki Yong, tall and gorgeous playing the lead.  The scene playing in her mind complete with the theme tune was pure Descendant of the Sun.  This scene is so hilarious.

She suddenly decided that the role was made for her, the lead was her.  After all, she did study law in college.

Oh Yoon Seo called the writer and arranged a meeting.  She badgered the writer to give the role to her.  She promised her everything.  The condition by the writer was that she had to work as a secretary in a real law firm for three months.

And here she meets a band of zany people, who are nice in their own way, which I like.

The CEO of the law firm was her number one fan.  He chose Kwon Jun Rok to be her boss.  He is quiet and rather taciturn.  And told her off for wearing party clothes, completely inappropriate for the office.

Oh Yoon Seo though has guts, so she turned up next morning prepared to tackle the secretarial job, having researched the role and duties of one.

Episode 2

Oh Yoon Seo is one determined lady.

Even the cold Jun Rok is beginning to thaw.  He realised how hard it was for Oh Yoon Seo to just overcome the constant gossip, criticism, and failures in her life and not to show negative emotion to the public.

He was also impressed that Oh Yoon Seo was not just a bimbo or scatty celebrity.  She has grit and was willing to blend in and learn.  He told her that they should start again.  He will treat her as his real secretary.  He extended his hand to shake on it and she was running back towards him when she was once again about to fall on the ground but he saved her this time straight into his arms.  There was frisson there which they both felt.  ahhhh

Episode 3-4

Jun Rok is finally giving Oh Yoon Seo a chance to prove herself.  He is getting to know her and what he found is someone far from a flakey woman as he first thought.

She intrigues him.

Oh Yoon Seo is getting involved more in his cases and she had been quite helpful and rather instrumental in making a taciturn client talk.

Their case on episode four is about a girl who thinks she is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend who refuses to accept that they had broken up.

Oh Yoon Seo offered to accompany the girl to her apartment to get the SD card or something but she found more than she bargained for.  The girl’s ex-boyfriend was hiding under the settee which surprised Oh Yoon Seo so much, it made her scream.

The boyfriend became violent as well, thank goodness, Jun Rok listened to his gut instinct and followed the girl to the apartment.

Actually Jun Rok found out a bit more about Oh Yoon Seo’s history.  She was a victim of a stalker, who was from a very affluent family.

When Oh Yoon Seo reported it, it was covered up.

And it looks like the case is not over as someone is still monitoring Oh Yoon Seo’s texts to Jun Rok.

Episode 5

Oh Yoon Seo was jealous and upset because Jun Rok has already promised to take her to lunch but when Yeo Reum wanted to have lunch with him, Jun Rok canceled out on Oh Yoon Seo.

Yeo Reum as a state prosecutor was given the case of a woman who killed her husband due to historical and persistent violence towards her.

Jun Rok was the opposing side which annoyed Yeo Reum so much.

Yeo Reum said he will never get the client off as she was guilty as hell.

Oh Yoon Seo told Jun Rok that he believe in him and he will win the case.

But this may be rather hard to accomplish because it was found that the husband was insured for more than 4 million.

Episode 6

After working late, Jun Rok asked Oh Yoon Seo to join him for dinner.  Why they were walking, Jun Rok asked if Oh Yoon Seo would like…

Oh Yoon Seo said immediately what she thought that he was a bit forward and blunt asking her this so soon.

Jun Rok asked what she was talking about, she then realised that he was asking her about something else if she liked pork belly in fact.

They are so cute.

Awww this time Jun Rok was so jealous of Oh Yoon Seo’s manager, thinking that he was the boyfriend.

Jun Rok and Oh Yoon Seo had a bit of a problem in the elevator.  She got so frightened that Jun Rok had to calm her down and then they almost kissed but was aborted because the lift opened and the engineer was looking at them.

The next day it was all over the office that a couple was almost caught kissing in the lift.  Oh Yoon Seo rather guiltily denied that it was her and her boss.

Episode 7

This episode is so cute.

Oh Yoon Seo was crushing majorly with Jun Rok but he seemed to ignore it.  So she drunkenly confessed to Jun Rok but she was embarrassed when she was sober the next day and told her manager that she wanted to resign.

She did not turn up at work in the morning and Jun Rok was worried.

He remembered Oh Yoon Seo’s confession.  He then researched online what Oh Yoon Seo likes in a man.

He found out that she likes to receive a handwritten love letter.

So he wrote one and went to look for her.

He told her that he likes her and gave her the love letter which she treasured so much.  All it said was “Let’s Date.”

Aww, they kept canceling their first day as a couple because of circumstances.

In the end, Jun Rok became more firm and took her for a date because he can no longer wait for being officially a couple.
