Episode 1 & 2

Just started watching this crime drama tonight.

What do I think so far?

It is watchable, I say that but not the gripping kind.  It is rather a slow pace sometimes, I supposed this was because they are trying to introduce the characters.

It is fragmented as well.  It takes you from one scene to the next and sometimes it just doesn’t make sense.

Like the case of slightly mentally disabled Maria Kang.  She was shown as about to jump from the bridge to commit suicide but in the next scene, she was in Kim Do-gi’s taxi.  How did she get there?  How did he save her?

Anyway, the gist of the story is that Kim Do Gi was recruited by a man who had experienced the save grief as losing parents by murder and the assailants were not given the appropriate punishment because of the loophole in the law.

Jang Sung Chul told Kim Do Gi to come work in his taxi firm.

Kim Do Gi declined at first as he was not looking for a job in driving. But once Sung Chul showed him the basement where he has a secret hideout.  The cars are lowered down into the basement reminiscent of Thunderbird, the British television electronic marionette puppet show in the 60s.

Anyway, Kim Do Gi was mighty impressed by the setup and knew that Sung Chul meant business.

He joined forces of punishing perpetrators who are otherwise overlooked by the law and order.

Kang Ha Na is a prosecutor who noticed the anomaly on a taxi picking a criminal who was let go.  The criminal was never seen again.

Because, after giving these perpetrators a right proper going over, they are handed down to Baek Sung Mi, who is an underworld madam of loan sharks.  She imprisons the perpetrators for Sung Chul, but their relationship is getting a bit problematic

I shall continue to watch another few episodes and if I grow to like it then so much the better.

Episode 3 – 4

A boy was being bullied at school so Kim Do Gi was on a revenge mission on behalf of the boy.

Kim Do Gi became a contract teacher.  He started to make the boys’ life significantly exciting for them.

When the boys planted a porn magazine on Do Gi’s bag and alerted the principal, the boys got a shock when the magazines were found in their bags instead.

Whatever they do, Do Gi was always a step ahead.

Episode 5

Do Gi was taken by Jang Chung Yul to a wine and dine meeting with the prosecutors.

After dinner, Do Gi was asked to take Kang Ha Na back home but instead, Kang Hana ended up taking him to the hospital when he collapsed after hearing the siren from road workers.

The sound was like the boiling whistling kettle on the stove as he found his mother bleeding and dead on the kitchen floor as he returned home from the army.

It appears his mother was a victim of a serial killer.

The next case was a man who was beaten to a pulp by the chairman of the company he worked for.

It was then made to look like he jumped from a bridge to commit suicide.

Do Gi got himself a job at the company but at first day at work, Kang Hana saw him.

Episode 6

Do Gi settled in into the company and what he saw at first was a hyper but a charismatic CEO, who has a mercurial character but could be very generous when he was in the mood.

Do Gi was able to ingratiate himself to the CEO so he was able to transfer to Strategic Planning Department where real money-making happens.

Episode 7

Ahn Go Eun had a meltdown when she saw her sister’s porn video on the company’s website.

Her sister is a victim of a handsome boyfriend who preyed on college girls to make a sex tape and sell it to U Data for big money.

Episode 8

The team blew up UData and its chairman.

Episode 9 – 10

This time their case was scammers who victimised poor and often uneducated people off their cash and savings.

The leader was a toothy woman who Do Gi seduced into getting him into their rackets and passwords and take back the money they’ve got and return them to their victims.

Episode 11

Kang Ha Na was determined to bring down Do Ki and Jang Sung Chul’s team.  So she raided the house and office but she and her own team came out with nothing.

She then went to talk with Do Gi and she had to justify a scenario where it was better to  let100 criminals go for the sake of one innocent one.

Then her trusted investigation was beaten to death.

Episode 12

For lack of evidence, they had to let the killer of Wang Min Ho.

Kang Ha Na was heartbroken she got into Do Gi’s taxi agreed to a contract of revenge.

But Baek Sung Mi tricked Jang Sung Chul by saying that she will poison Gu Seo Tae and deliver it to the taxi firm.

But she blindsided them instead.  Her team got to Revenger’s basement and took all the ‘prisoners and loaded them in a coach.

Episode 13

Kang Ha Na had a change of mind and wanted to punish Gu Seok-Tae.

Do Gi told her that he had to finish a job.

Baek Sung Mi invaded the hideout of Jang Sung Chul and punished the team one by one.

She then sent a message to Do Gi who was being questioned in prison that if wanted to see his team alive then he had to get out of prison and return to the hideout.

Episode 14

Poor Mr Park got killed.

Oops he was actually having surgery and. live.

Episode 15

All hell broke loose. Everyone at Rainbow Taxi was injured after a final battle with Baek Sung Mi’s team.  In the end, the prosecutors got them all.

Episode 16

The prosecutors made a deal with Baek Sung Mi.  She will get a lighter sentence if she does not disclose what Rainbow Taxi was really all about.

The Rainbow Taxi firm was disbanded with everyone getting a different job.

Do Gi went traveling.

Go Eun became a traffic patrol police.

Kyung Goo and Jin Eon leads a team of collectors.
