Episode 1

Wow, I have forgotten how stunning Liying really is.  She is just gorgeous.

It was He Xingfu’s wedding to Wang Qing Lai of Wan Village.

Her parents-in-law put too much importance on Mr Wan Shan Tang, the secretary of the village, who was rather later attending the wedding so they postponed the wedding until he arrives.

He Xing Yun was rather annoyed but Xing Fu told her sister that it was ok.

The wedding celebration was well attended.  Wan Chuan Jia was also at the party.  He was curious of the pretty bridesmaid which was He Xing Yun.

Xing Fu’s husband is so lovely and it looks like a love match with Xing Fu.

Xing Fu warned her new husband not to drink too much but Chuan Jia got hold of him and gave him shots after shots of alcohol.

The happy celebration immediately deteriorated to chaos as Xingfu found her sister being sexually assaulted by Wan Chuan Jia and his posse.

People heard the commotion but no one really paid attention until Xing Fu heard her sister’s scream for help.

She kicked the door of the old shed open and tried to get her sister away but the men wer feral so she picked a bricked and smacked it on Chuan Jia’s head.

Instead of being supported, Xing Fu’s in-laws were upset that Mr Wan, Chuan Jia’s father,  would get annoyed that his son ended up with his head bleeding.

Now, Xing Fu’s new family was worried that they had to answer for Chuan Jia’s injuries and dismissed Xing Fu’s comment that she will be responsible for it as she hit him.

Poor Xing Yun was abandoned by Daxun, her boyfriend who heard everything while she was being assaulted.

Wang Xiu Yu, Qinglai’s sister went to find out about Chuan Jian’s condition and later related that Chuan Jian was still in a coma.

Qinghai’s parents became pariahs in the village, which was totally under Wan Shang Tang’s control.

The parents begged forgiveness from Mr Wan on their bended knees but Mr Wan was not very accommodating at all and warned them that Xing Fu is a troublemaker.

Episode 2

Xingfu tried to live as normal but her husband told her that she should go back to her village before the police comes to arrest her.  He will then tell them that he was the one who attack Chuanjian.

Xingfu went to the health centre to find out about Chuanjin.  She saw him with her very eyes that he was ok and learned that he only got three stitches.

Qinglai’s mother quite liked Xingfu being feisty but the father said that it was better to keep their head down.

Qinglai is rather worried that Xinfu is unhappy.  She told him that she doesn’t want that they are being treated in the wrong when they were really the victims.

Qinglai said that they were only potato framers, they do not have any power in the village.

Qinglai took Xingfu to aplogise to Mr. Wan.  She did graciously but she said that now sh had apologised what are they going to do with her sister.

They were thrown out of the house in the end when Xingfu questioned Mr Wan if there was a reasonable place where she could go.

Mr Wan told her to go to the police and report him all she wants.

The Wang family thought that everything was sorted but they went mental when they found out that Xingfu only made the issue worst.

They told her that the sexual harassment was almost part of a wedding party.  They said that at the last wedding they attended, the father-in-law was tied up with the daughter-in-law for a length of time.😭😭😭

Qinglai wanted to bring Xingfu to see Mr Wan again to apologise but she refused.  The parents-in-law went but they were not allowed in the house.  Thinking that they needed to end the conflict omce and for all, they gave Xingfu 1000 yuan pretending that it was from Mr Wan.

Qinglai’s brother Wang Qingzhi said that accepting the money would look like that Xingfu was after the money all along.

So Xingfu went to return the money to a surprised but annoyed Mr Wan.

Mr Wan said that he did not give her any money instead she should ask her mother-in-law.

Episode 3

The family was finding out that the issue was just starting to take effect on them.  Qiuyu was very upset because she was fired from her work without any reason.

Xingfu and Qinglai went to visit Xingfu’s family.

Xingyun had confined herself in the bedroom. Xingfu was able to persuade her to open the door.  After showering, Xingfu found out how traumatised Xingyun was.

Xingfu decided to file a report but her mother stopped her saying that wedding hazing was normal in their village.

Qinglai felt neglected and when he told Xingfu to go home with him because of a family emergency, Xingfu just ignored him.

Qinglai left in a huff and would not answer Xingfu’s call later on.

Meanwhile, Chuan Jia slapped his wife when he found out that she fired Xiu Yu.  He told her that she had no right to interfere in the company.  He told her never to come to the company anymore.

Meanwhile, Xiu Yu was reinstated.

Qinglai was refusing to fetch Xingfu from her mother’s house.

The matchmaker visited Xingfu’s mother.  She then told Xingfu to go back to her in-laws’ house.

Xingfu refused but she said that there are two things that could make her go back.  First, her husband must come to get her or Qinglai making Chuanjia apologise to her sister then Xingfu would back willingly.

Episode 4

Qinglai’s family threatened divorce if Xingfu does not go back.

Xingfu said so be it.

Xingyun had gone back to the city, telling Xingfu to move on.

Xingfu was far from moving on because when her husband came to finally get her because he doesn’t really want a divorce, Xingfu refused to go because she was still awaiting an apology from the Wan family.

Mr Wan asked for a meeting with the village elite.  He announced that wedding hazing should not continue anymore.

Episode 5

It was posted on the village bulletin board that wedding hazing should not happen at Wan Village anymore.

The Wangs saw this as a win for Xingfu who had finally returned to her husband.

Xingfu told her husband that Mr Wan seemed a reasonable man.

She had a happy simple life with her family.

QingZhi went back to the city.  Xingfu asked him if he could look in on her sister.

Wow, Luo Jin finally turned up.  He is so gorgeous.

Anyway, Luo Jin plays Guan Tao who is a lawyer.  Qingzhi was networking with him to find Xingyun a job.

He said that they are not recruiting.

Poor Xingyun was finding it hard to find a job but when she did it was only a pittance but beggars can’t be chooser so she accepted it.  the company was where Guan Tao works.

Xingfu is immersing herself in organic farming with Qinglai.  She was telling him that they should upgrade and rent the nearby field to build greenhouses.

Episode 6

Xingfu started building the greenhouses immediately.  She found out though that she was pregnant.

Everyone was happy of the good news that her mother-in-law gave all the keys to Xingfu.  She is now the head of the family.

Xingyun can’t pay her rent so she was thrown out of her little apartment.  She then went to the office to crash and almost got caught by Guan Tao.

Xingfu met up with Xingyun in the city to help her buy a computer.  She noticed how starving her sister was.  When she asked if Xingyun was doing ok, Xingyun lied and said that she was.

But Xingfu knew and followed her sister to her work where she was crashing.  She ended up giving her sister the money for the computer which displeased her father-in-law.

Xingyun is about to have another problem.  Her boss is perverting on her and asked her to go to Shanghai with him for the conference.

Episode 7

Xingyun was warned by Guan Tao to be careful of her boss because he often brings an assistant on business trips and he gets frisky.

Xingyun was able to look after herself.

It looks like Xinyun is going to have a problem with her farm.

Mr Wan was intending to build a sewage canal next to her farm.

Episode 18

Xingfu started working as a cleaner at Guan Tao new law firm.  They are so cute together, I must say.

Episode 19

Xingyun is now an up-and-coming lawyer.  She went to see Guan Tao who advised her not to go into the dark side.

Qinglai was climbing up the wall because he can’t find a job.

Meanwhile, Xingfu is a favourite at her work because she was willing to do everything and go beyond her duty. From a cleaner, she was also doing a reception job.  Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have any clients.

Qinglai is being annoying and sneaky.  He went to visit Qingzhi’s father-in-law which was embarrassing for everyone.

Episode 20

Mr Xu, Qingzhi’s father-in-law got Qinglai a job as a security guard.  He seemed to be enjoying his job.  He was advised by Qingzhi not to tell anyone about his relationship with Mr Xu.  But he was finding it hard not to brag.

Xingfu witnessed an accident and help the victim.  She got so excited that he might need a lawyer but it turned out he has already an in-house lawyer.

She was so disappointed because she thought she could bring business to the firm.

Mr Wan was out of prison.  But he seemed to have had a stroke.  e was concerned that Chuanjia drove Qinglai and Xingfu after he heard that the two had left for the city.

Mr Wan went to see the Wan and told them that it Qinglai and Xingfu were in the city because of him then they can come back.

Xingfu took Guan Tao’s advice to be both knowledgeable and cultured.  She started wearing glasses because it would make her look cultured.  She also began reading law books.

Episode 21

It was Qingzhi’s birthday.  Yani tried to surprise him by coming back early from her business trip.

But it was she who was surprised and not in a good way.  She went to their soon-to-be marital apartment and found Qingzhi’s mother chasing a chicken in their plush apartment.  It is bad enough that Qinglai and Xingfu are squatting in there too.

She called Qingzhi and wanted to break up because his mother told her that the apartment is still really Qingzhi’s own apartment which his whole family made a contribution to so he could buy it.

Thank goodness Yani has lovely parents and explained to her that marrying Qingzhi is marrying his family as well.

Xingfu couldn’t get enough of her son, she missed him so much.  But she told the parents-in-law if they still continue to look after him because she and Qinglai had just gotten a more permanent jobs.

The parents agreed and Xingfu and Qinglai moved to their tiny house which shocked Yani and Qingzhi because it was a dump.

But Xingfu insisted that it would be lovely once it was tidied up.  At work, Xingfu took off the notice of a receptionist vacancy from the office doorway.

Guan Tao was told by the other lawyers that Xingfu was acting as their receptionist as well while she had a watering can and mop next to her.  It was not good for the company’s image. Guan Tao went to speak with her and told her that she doesn’t have the right image.  She had to concentrate on what job she was employed to do.

Xingfu would not be defeated so she went to see Yani for help.  Yani is working in television or something so she asked a makeup artist to give Xingfu a makeover.

Xingfu went back to Fanguan Law Firm but she found that Guan Tao was not impressed with her vivid makeup.  He told her that she doesn’t need artifice because she was already beautiful.

Xingfu felt rather embarrassed and started removing her dark red lipstick.

Guan Tao could not help himself.  He has a soft spot for her because he is crushing on her so there and then he hired her as the new receptionist.

Episode 22

Xingfu settled in as the new receptionist.  The other lawyers were surprised that Guan Tao includes her when he was meeting his clients.

Mr Liu came to Fanguan Law Firm as a potential client after Guan Tao was recommended to him.  But the wily Mr Liu was not impressed with Lawyer Zhang and Lawyer Wang.  So he went back to Lawyer Han’s law firm, Yidao, and signed a contract.

Meanwhile, Fanguan was not doing very well.  They are in deficit again but Guan Tao that his was normal at the beginning.

They then had a woman who wanted to sue a buyer who promised to buy their produce but changed their mind at at the last minute.

Guan Tao finally saw that this was what they needed.  If they win the case for the farmer, more farmers will come to seek their services.

Stupid  Qinglai was goaded by his colleague to prove that he was really related to Mr Xu so he tried to approach Mr Xu who was with the Mayor.

The mayor noticed what had happened and warned Mr Xu that giving a job to relatives will be seen as nepotism.

Mr Xu spoke to Qingzhi that he had to left Qinglai go.

Xingfu’s dream of opening her own inn was realised with the help of crowdfunding set up by Guan Tao, Mr Zhang and Mr Wang.

Episode 31

One of Xingfu’Inn’s visitors happens to work at the ministry of water so she advised Xingfu to have her spring water from Niaofei Creek properly tested.
