Meanwhile, Tian Rong is part-timing as a real estate agent and has a boyfriend from a prestigious law firm. Li Mu Jia, however, thinks that the boyfriend was taking advantage of Tian Rong by treating her as his nanny, who iron his suits for him.
The boyfriend told Tian Rong that there was an opening for an admin assistant at his law firm, Jinda, and persuaded Tian Rong to apply.
Tian Rong said that she was not really into doing admin work so she told Li Mu Jia to apply for it instead.
Li Mu Jia said that they should apply together. During the interview, Tian Rong did badly and was almost relieved when she did not get the job.
Meanwhile, Li Mu Jia did everything possible to get even an internship.
Episode 2
The sign of a good drama for me is that after watching an episode, you feel that it was too short and could not wait for the next.
This is what I feel for this second episode so I will give it five stars.
Anyway, Li Mu Jia was a good worker but she is discriminated upon by her colleagues because of her level of education and the university she graduated in.
But with the little guide to getting along with your colleagues compiled for her by her boyfriend she tried to get along to be like.
And she was good at ingratiating herself. Suddenly she became the general dogsbody which was noticed by Lawyer Wu.
Lawyer Wu called her and told her that the Jinda was spending a lot of money training her not to be a dogsbody but a good lawyer.
With this in mind, she went on her lunch break and overheard her colleague being so dismissive about her.
This was a blessing in disguise because it made it easier for her to stop being everyone’s assistant. She then put away the little guide that her boyfriend gave her.
Episode 3
The parents of Mu Jia’s boyfriend sold the grandparent’s house which was left to the boyfriend. They then gave him the money of 500,000RMB as a start up to buy a house in Beijing.
The boyfriend asked Mu Jia if perhaps they should invest the money first to earn interest.
MuJia categorically told him not to do it. It was unsafe.
But the boyfriend knew best and invested every cent of his 500,000 in stocks and shares.😭😭😭
Episode 4
Being too busy at work for Mujia had become a bone of contention between her Ding. It got so bad they decided to cool off before they said anything nasty at each other.
They made up though when Tian Rong told Ding that Mujia and her had to move out apartment because they had been scammed after the real owner of their apartment came home from abroad.
They moved to another apartment, a three bedroom one, which they will be sharing with a Dr Zhang who was hardly home.
Meanwhile, Ding and Mujia put a deposit to an apartment at Yandong Tower. Mujia insisted that the deed name should only have Ding’s name as the bulk of money will come from him.
Episode 5
Tian Rong was being taken advantage of by her boyfriend but she was still taking his shit despite putting her down constantly.
He was embarrassed of her and thought that she was too lowly.
Meanwhile, Ding had become too obsessed with the stock market and often that was all he does at work. But he was finding out the hard way that investment can go so high as well as down.
Mujia was on a high. She had been made a paralegal officially. Lawyer Wu thinks highly of her.
As Fan Hua Peng, Tian Rong’s boyfriend, was working in the same law office, he was trying to put a downer on her. Telling her that she only got promoted because one of the junior director was partial towards her.
Episode 6
Ding was coerced to go on a blindate by his mother and aunt. But that is not really his real problem. His investment had gone he can’t now afford the apartment they signed up for.
Tian Rong was doing well in her job as a real state agent but because Fan Hua Peng keep telling her that the job was low grade, she told her manager that she was thinking of resigning thus losing her bonus for best agent for the month.
Cheng Qing, Mujia’s cousin had come back to China with her boyfriend Gao Chang.
Ding was losing it at work and with his personal life. He decided to finally confess to Mujia what happened to their deposit and went to look for her at her work but with his current frame of mind he believed the gossip he overheard that Mujia only stays with her boyfriend because he can buy her an apartment.
He went home and started drinking.
Meanwhile Fan Hua Peng finally broke up with Tian Rong because he said they don’t have anything in common.
Tian Rong took the break up badly but Ding told her that Fan Hua Peng was not worth being sad about.
Finally, the third flatmate Dr Zhang showed up in the apartment.
Episode 7
This is a sad episode. It might even make you cry. it did me.
Anyway, the estate agent called Mujia because they can’t contact Ding. It was regarding the last day of paying the down payment for the apartment they signed for.
Mujia called Ding who promised to meet her the next morning outside the apartment tower to pay the deposit. But Ding did not show and he was not at work.
Mujia though waited for him outside his apartment. When he turned up, he was drunk. He then told her that the money was gone and so was the house. Would she still marry him? When she could not answer immediately, he assumed that it was true that she was only marrying him for the apartment.
He then say they should break up. He added that it was not even about the apartment. He said that even if they get married, they would end up divorced because she was so busy with her work, she was so frenetic he could not keep up with her. And he was tired trying.
Poor Mujia was so sad and told him she was going to forget what he just said because he was drunk but he was very adamant.
When he was sober, he went to see her to bring her some hot dumplings his mother made. He told Mujia that at first he thought of getting her back but he saw the people outside her work and they were so busy he can’t wrap his head around it.
He said that they were not really for each other.
Poor Mujia cried over her hot dumplings.
