Season 2 is here at last.  It was only right really because Season 1 was really not a good ending to the love story of Jin Nian and An Hao.  It was was just so wrong that they parted after overcoming so many misunderstanding, etc.

Another intruiging development thought to Pretty Man was the change of actress to play An Hao in Season 2.

I thought Sierra Li played a rather winsome An Hao.  She was elegant and poised.  What happened?!!!

Anyway, looking forward to this sequel, just to know what happened to the couple after Jin Nian pushed An Hao to the ground when he found out that she was intrumental in murdering his mother! 🙂

Episode 1

This episode did not pick up from the last installment of Pretty Man.

I supposed because there is a different actress playing An Hao, they sort of created little vignettes out of the whole original drama to introduce Lai Yu Meng as a replacement for Sierra Li as An Hao, like when Jin Nian first met An Hao, their wedding, etc.

Anyway, it was 11 years since that snail/menstruation first meeting.

An Hao is becoming more popular as a leading actress but one thing though, Jin Nian would not allow her to do kissing scenes.

If the kissing is absolutely required, then he would drop anything he was doing including attending a major press conference to stand-in for the lip-locking with An Hao.

Jin Nian is now a popular movie star and had earned the sobriquet of being the Nation’s Husband.

His manager Xem Xiu was absolutely livid that Jin Nian was getting married, not only because he was at the height of his fame but because she was jealous, she was in love with Jin Nian herself.

The trouble with this drama is that it jumped from the past to the present time and it is rather confusing.

Jin Nian gave An Hao a romantic wedding.  She wanted to be married outside and outside it was despite the inclement weather.

Jia Mo got hold of umbrellas for the occasion.

The guests, under their transparent umbrellas, watched the happy couple marched into the makeshift flower arch altar under umbrellas as well.

They exchanged vows of loving and holding till death do they part.

When it was the time to exchange rings, it was rather problematic as the rings had gone.

Jin Nian had to hack a ring out of red ribbons.

Jin Nian knew immediately that Xem Xiu had nicked the rings.

Later on, he told Xem Xiu to return the ring asap or he will pass the CCTV recording to the police.

Xem Xiu did give the rings back.

Episode 2

An Hao wanted to go to Paris for their honeymoon.  But Jin Nian was caught on the traffic and missed the flight so they had to make do with the hotel he had first made his film.

An Hao was quite happy with the new venue after Jin NIan promised that he will take her to Paris one day soon.

Her happiness did not last long (AGAIN!!!) because she met a woman called Jenny, who started acting rather familiar with Jin Nian.

Jenny made it looked like that she knew Jin Nian intimately.

The last straw was finding Jin Nian with Jenny astride him on the honeymoon bed.  I have to say that Jin Nian took his time to get Jenny off him.  He really waited for An Hao to turn up before he chucked Jenny away.

Seriously!

An Hao was at this point going mental.

Jin Nian showed An Hao his findings of Jenny and that she was paid 100,000 by somebody to create havoc at Jin Nian and An Hao’s honeymoon.

The next morning Jian Nian’s business partner at Lead Culture, Xem Xie (not really sure of her name) asked An Hao to meet up regarding Jin Nian’s career or lack of it – soon.

An Hao was given a wad of photos of Jin Nian with Jenny in bed.

An Hao was of course not surprise of the photos and that she told Xem Xie that Jin NIan and her knew that Xem Xie was the one behind all what had occurred with Jenny.

Xem Xie said that the photos would still ruin the career of the Nation’s husband.  She gave one day for An Hao to decide.

Xem Xie was with Jenny and celebrating their dastardly plot.

What Xem Xie did not know was that An Hao got to Jenny.  So Jenny drugged Xem Xie and took the SD card containing the photos from Xem Xie and gave it to An Hao.

Xem Xie was absolutely furious, she left Lead Culture as Vice President together with the staff.

Xem Xie then went to San He, a rival of Lead Culture to apply for a job which she got.

Poor Jin Nian was working all hours to make headway of the chaos Xem Xie left.

An Hao has been offered a role in a dance film being produced by UK.

Meanwhile Jia Mo’s ex-girlfriend Xiang Si was heavily pregnant and will need a caesarian section for the birth.  She did not want Jia Mo to find out about their baby and pretended that she had gotten married.

Episode 3

An Hao suffered high altitude sickness which caused her to end up in the hospital and missing on the audition for the dance drama produced by the UK.

It turned out that An Hao altitude sickness was excavated by carbon monoxide poisoning instigated by Lin Si Yi who got the role and Xem Xie.

But Lin Si Yi did not take into consideration that Jin Nian is An Hao’s husband.  So before she could celebrate, she was asked by the investors to audition for them.

Lin Si Yi was surprised that the investor was Jin Nian and the role she was made to read to audition was a plot of poisoning an actress with carbon monoxide that would look like altitude sickness.  Before long, Lin Si Yi was confessing that she needed to even out with An Hao for stealing a role from her.

Meanwhile, Jin Nian went to England to talk to the producer of the dance film and recommend An Hao to star on it.

Jin Nian made such an impassioned report that the producers, who has the most unBritish accent, were impressed and agreed to the casting of An Hao for the lead role.

Jin Nian was taken to a drink up later and bumped into Summer, a Chinese girl who seemed to have fallen in love with him at first sight.

Episode 4

Summer saw him next in the park while she was running.  She fell in front of Jin Nian who asked if she was alright and then gave her his handkerchief to wipe off her bloodied arm.  He left immediately afterwards.

Summer was intrigued, she started to ask around who the handsome Chinese guy was.  She then saw a magazine with Jin Nian’s photo on it.  She was then told that Jin Nian had returned to China.

An Hao found out that Lead Culture was having a hard time after Xem Xie left the company with most of the staff.

Thinking of helping Jin Nian, An Hao accepted many engagements for the money.

Jin Nian allowed her for a day to work herself silly but her last engagement was in a restaurant and found Jin Nian waiting to have a meal with her.  He told her that he was his wife not his business partner so she should not work herself too much.  And they had to have a work curfew from 7pm.

Summer was in China looking for her hero.

Meanwhile, Xem Xie continues her vengeance mode against Jin Nian and An Hao by revealing their contract relationship which plunged Lead Culture Media share prices even more.

Episode 5

It is a small world.

Summer is An Xia, a psychologist who treated Jia Mo’s mother.  An Xia met Jia Mo in a charity event.

Jia Mo teased her that it must be a big issue to make her come back to China.

An Xia said that it was, she was looking for her hero.

The charity event is also being attended by Jin Nian and An Hao, who actually was An Xia’s cousin she had yet to meet.

Jia Mo offered to introduced An Xia to his half-brother but An Xia say that the half-brother she often heard Jia Mo talked about was none other than her hero she had looking for.

She left heartbroken because not only Jin Nian was married, he was also married to her cousin.

Jin Nian and An Hao were met by Xem Xie who tried to embarrass An Hao by making it appear that she was having an affair with President Qin.

But President actually set Xem Xie up, he knew that she had been rooting around in his office so he gave her materials to work with.  But he also arranged that the materials she thought would be bombastic against An Hao were swapped with another more gossipy items.

Xem Xie was shunned by the people and even the press for breaking malicious news.

An Xia was so unhappy, she went drinking.  She almost got accosted if a handsome young man did not take her away.

Siang Xi had given birth to Jia Mo’s baby but she maintains that he was not the father.

An Hao had her doubts when she visited Siang Xi in hospital and saw the baby who had the exact kind of eyelashes Jia Mo has.  Really?!!!

Episode 6

Jin Nian was going mental with the very thought of milk.

Poor An Hao was trying to do everything to support him despite not understanding at first his phobia about milk.  She even changed from dairy to soya milk for Jin Nian but he ordered that no milk was to be brought into the house.

Talking about milk, there was a big campaign by an important client who had acquired a milk factory.  Jin Nian walked out during the signing when he learned he would be doing milk.

As a damage limitation for Lead Culture, An Hao, helped by President Qin, became the milk ambassador for China.

President Qin had had enough of Xem Xie when she posted more damaging information online about Jin Nian using Se Han IP Address.  So he fired her and had her arrested for malicious damage.
