Episode 1
I thought this drama will be so good as it has Jin Mai in it plus this is a return drama for Lin Yi after the successful Put Your Head On My Shoulder.
But this first episode blew me away. I did not expect that Jin Mai plays an alien girl complete with a skeletal costume in rather a cute face.
I am not sure I am into this kind of genre. It is just too weird.
Anyway, the story is that 16 years ago, Chi Xin tried to bring his wife and baby daughter back to his mountain hometown.
But they had to cross over a firestorm that took his wife.
When he got home, he was blamed by his clan and said that he corrupted their culture by trying to bring a foreign wife to their sect.
For 16 years, he put up with their blame game but he also stopped going to the mountains and the Fire Chilling Wall. He was contented to be just a work-from-home single father.
This also created upset amongst the people because he was their ace mountain soldier.
Ling Long grew up a well-rounded girl, confident and quick-witted. She had always been curious about her missing mother and thought that she was behind the Fire chilling wall so she joined the contest to become a mountain ranger as soon as she turned 16.
She passed the test, the only one to make it. But the elders had already agreed before the contest had even begun that she cannot become a mountain patrolwoman.
She got so upset when she heard about it but her father told her that there was more to the test than just extinguising the fire.
She said she understood but she wanted to be left alone to sort her thoughts.
But it got dark and her father got really worried.
He knew she went to the Fire Chilling mountain.
I must admit, I was annoyed with LingLong I want her to be hurt badly.
Her hardheadedness endangered her father. He was protecting her from the fire when all of a sudden she vanished and the next thing he saw was an alien who started attacking the clans who finally caught up with them.
Chi Xin begged his townspeople to not hurt the alien because she was Ling Long but Ling Long was out of control and started attacking Chi Xin until a handsome boy appeared.
He seemed to be able to control the alien because it stopped attacking Chi Xin when he told the alien that Chi Xin is her father. The boy then told the townspeople that they had to show respect to the alien because she is their goddess.
Someone struck him in the head.
