Episode 1 (Han Soo and Eunhee)
The first episode started sedately showing how life is on Jeju Island but it got so manic and rather heartwarming immediately.
Choi Han Soo was a depute bank manager at SS Bank in Seoul, He was being transferred to Jeju Island as the Bank Manager of the SS Bank.
Han Soo did not really have many roots in Seoul as his wife and daughter were in the US. His daughter is training to be a professional golfer.
It was so expensive that his wife asked him to just call the whole thing quits. It was so expensive that they had run out of money. Even their house had been sold to fund the daughter’s training and she still had a year to go.
Han Soo told his wife to hang in there; he will look for money.
At Jeju Island, he saw from his high-rise apartment that nothing had changed. Everyone is still into everyone else’s business.
On his first day at work, there was traffic delayed by a truck. The truck was owned by Eun Hee.
Eun Hee saw Han Soo who got out of his car to see what was the delay. Eun Hee was so happy to see her first love and she was not embarrassed to declare to everyone that Han Soo was her first love.
Eun Hee moved her truck when Han Soo took her phone number.
At the bank, Mr Kim gave Han Soo the list of their VVIP clients. He noticed that Eun Hee was one of them.
Mr Kim, who was a schoolmate of Han Soo and Eun Hee told Han Soo that Eun Hee is now mega-rich with over a billion won of disposable income just sitting in the bank.
Eunhee has five shops in the market and a coffee shop in front of Han Soo’s apartment.
Eun Hee happily went to her shop to tell Lee Young Ok, a beautiful young diver, her love story with Hansoo.
Eun Hee and Hansoo went to the same school. Han Soo was a popular guy with his looks, brain and height.
Eun Hee was short, rather plain but with a bubbly personality.
One day, she saw Han Soo sitting alone on the perron by their school. Eun Hee asked him if he had kissed his girlfriend.
He told her that they had broken up.
Eun Hee asked him how does it feel to kiss.
He was rather surprised by her question but his surprise turned to shock when she kissed him.
The next day, a blabbermouth friend of Eun Hee went to confirm with Hansoo that he really forced to Eun Hee to kiss.
Eun Hee was dying with shame as everyone looked disbelieving at her.
Hansoo said that he did kiss Eun Hee and she enjoyed it.
Eun Hee and Young Ok were screaming with excitement at how the story turned out.
Meanwhile, Park Jung Joon who came to join them just tolerated the noise they were making. He was looking at Young Ok who kept giving him the come hither look.
He was thinking of giving a relationship a chance with her but he was told that Young Ok flirts with any male with a pulse.
Another character had come to Jeju Island. He was Lee Dong Seok, a traveling salesman.
The young actors who play young Eun Hee and Han Soo are so cute.
