This film is well made with brilliant actors.
But I have to confess that I only watch half of it because Mr Queen Ep 17 (Unsubbed) was finally released. You’ve got to know your priorities!!! 😝
Anyway, I am going to rewatch the whole film again tomorrow.
It has a very interesting story.
A young boy was being trained by his master in cultivation. But the boy was getting tired of not progressing from just doing protection.
Qingming had now grown into a young man and finally told his master that he wanted to learn some other forms of cultivation.
His master said that protection encompasses everything; life and death.
Suddenly the side of a mountain started crumbling and out came a ferocious giant serpent.
The master removed Qingming from this dimension. The aging master was not strong enough to fight the serpent alone so he brought out three of his soul martial. The Golden Spirit took a glowing orb went into the mouth and then the body of the serpent and blew himself and the serpernt from the inside.
The Master fatally exhausted himself but he was able to tell Qingming that the serpent was just a shadow of the dormant Evil incarnate which was currently sealed in at the Imperial City.
The shadow being so active meant that the evil incarnate was about to wake up to cause untold chaos to the world.
He said that as long as there is greed in the world, evil will never be truly gone.
Qingming, though he thought he was only taught protection, is now a Yin Yang Master.
His master told him that three other masters will converge at Imperial City to reseal the evilness.
True enough, Qingming from the south met Boya from the east who detest any demon, he also met Long Ye from the north, a female master.
Master Hongye, the fourth master died on arrival and his soul martial was his proxy. He was He Shou Ye.
Qingming and Boya, though did not trust each other began to work together. They learned that the evil spirit was in the Empress’ body.
But behind the scene, He Shou Ye was working with Princess Zhang Ping who seemed to have a hidden agenda.
Poor Long Ye died during the fight between the masters and He Shou Ye.
