Love, love it.

I watched it today on Netflix.

I am also halfway through the other version called The YingYang Master: Dream of Eternity.

You can watch them both, no problem because they have different plots and though the characters share the same name, they have different storylines in the films.

According to this fantasy movie, the world was a house to both humans and monsters to begin with.  They used to get along until Emperor Xianliang went evil and started creating strifes between humans and monsters.

In the end, the monsters couldn’t peacefully co-exist with humans so they were banished to the Monster Realm and to ensure that this continued on, the Scale Stone was encased into a monument that is guarded by protectors.

However, one day the head protector saw that Qing Ming was standing alone among bodies of protectors, dead, on the floor.

Qing Ming told them that the esteemed Ci Mu was killed as well.

They did not. try to hear anything further from him, as far as they concerned Qing ming was the culprit being only half human and half monster.

The leader ordered the arrest of Qing Ming but he had gotten a way in a flash before they could do anything.

Bai Ni, the ultimate leader of the protector said that she was not convinced that Qing Ming was the killer, especially not killing Ci Mu, after all she knew Qing Ming most of their lives as having grown up together with Ci Mu.

Meanwhile, a young military man was exporting a tribute from the Emperor when they were ambused by cute animals like ferrets, bears, etc.

The animal scurried away with the fortune from the caravans.

The soldier, Yuan Bo Ya did put a good fight alone as his cavalry skedaddled as soon as they saw the monsters.

The monsters were being aided and abetted by Qing MIng.

When Bo Ya finally turned up in the Capital, he was told that he had to pay for what was taken from his own pocket, they will confiscate his properties, etc.

Bo Ya was annoyed and upset and promised that he will get the tribute back.

He was given three days.

I have to say that the story started rather slowly but when Boya and the bubbly Shen Le got together, the story moved on quickly.

Boya and Shen Le were so cute, lots of chemistry.  I hope Shaw Qu and Shen Yu get a drama together as the main leads.

Boya used Shen Le or her knowledge to get to the Monster Realm.  He was rather protective of her from the word go. So cute.

It turned out that Ci Mu was not dead and actually a baddy who made a deal with the Monster Boss that he will help resurrect Xiangliang.

Qing Ming found Ci Mu really strong that he was almost undefeatable so Qing Ming made a deal with the Master Monster who was only too happy to replace Ci Mu with Qing Ming because QingMing has the monster genes.

Qingming, however, had a different agenda, He told master Monster that he will be Qing Ming underling not the other way around.

The seven-headed snake master monster was defeated and agreed with Qingming.

Qingming was back from the dead with his long ash-blond hair and battling Ci Mu who has red long hair.  So the two dyed-hair masters battled it out not only for the best shampoo and conditioner but who could fly and cultivate more.

In the end, it was a no-brainer, Qing Ming the half-monster prevailed, killing Ci Mu.  Qing MIng will be the head monster and had to tell Bai Na that any relationship between them was over.

This is not the case for Boya and Shen Le though.

After the monster battle at the bridge, Boya came home to a hero’s welcome but he pined for the pixy Shen Le.

Boya started looking for her, he would accost girls who had the same umbrella as Shen Le or someone who looks like her.

But one day as fate has it, they met again and they grinned happily at one another.

So cute.

I totally recommend this film to anyone.
