My son gifted me with this set a couple of weeks ago and I had been using it, more deligently in the last few days because I noticed a difference to my skin tone and texture.🤗 I like it.

Since it is now summer, my brown skin type darkens even more at the mere sight of the beautiful sunshine so I needed a little help with keeping it the same colour as my autumn/winter skin.🤗

I did try looking for skin whitening at Boots but apparently they don’t stock skin whitening but they do have skin brightening🤣

Anyway, as I said my son came to the rescue and gave me this set which he got from Amazon.

The set comes with 150ml Brightening Vita Toner, a 30ml Brigthening Blemish Care Serum, and a tub of 50ml Brightening Radiance Cream.

I saw someone applying a moisturiser in youtube.

Apparently, the best way to apply it is to gently slap🤣 it to your face to activate the skin and pores.  Well, I have been tapping the skin care to my face and I can see a positive effect.  My skin is softer, smoother and more radiant or bright?🤗.  I love it.  The products are easy to apply.

Wash your face then apply the toner with gentle tapping, give it a minute to absorb, then a little serum, again give it a minute and then the moisturiser and you are all set.

Just before going outside, slap more sunscreen to your face.  Make sure it has SpF50+ for better protection.

Now that Christmas is not to distant any longer, time to buy those crap, oops sorry crafts for stocking fillers.

Many can be found at Temu that will amuse the young, the old, and the very old. 🤣

I have used Temu for months now and I am very happy to report that their delivery is topnotch, especially compared to companies located here on my doorstep so to speak.

Temu has many cheap and cheerful items.  Just be aware of the saying “You get what you pay for.”

I have items that I really love and I have items I received that got me scratching my head about why I bought them in the first place.

Temu has everything and looking at them would make you add items to the basket, keep adding, adding some more, and before you know it, you spent a fortune but feel you got a bargain.  They arrive and only half really are worth their value.

I have to confess, I just keep ordering.

If you are in the UK and wanted to order Filipino products like sauces, snacks, sweets and candies, dried fish, etc, I can recommend Kuya’s Tindahan.  The link follows below.

They have a varied selection of products with competitive prices. The delivery at £5.99 is reasonable, it arrived quickly with the items packaged well in heavy-duty bubble wraps.

They have items on offer.  I only bought a few from the offers thinking that they might be nearing their sell-by date.  But I was surprised that their best-before date is still 2024.  This alone convinced me to reorder more as soon as possible.

We have a few Oriental shops here in North London selling many Filipino goods but I find it very hard to locate Patis (fish sauce) made and bottled in the Philippines.

Filipino-made patis, soy sauce, and vinegar would give Filipino dishes taste really authentic, thus I want this trilogy of sauces to be present in my food cupboard.  And fortunately, I found Rifina patis in Kuya’s Tindahan.

Gardening Direct (Online Garden Centre Review)

 

I placed an order to Gardening Direct on 22 April 2022 for plug plants: varieties of tomatoes, sweet potatoes, potatoes, etc.

I only received one email from them confirming receipt of my order.

Then I waited.

Waited.

Waited.

Until now, it is the 20 of May 2022, and still no sign of my order.  I went online and saw my order as still awaiting dispatch.

I finally called them and waited 7 minutes to answer the phone.

Though I spoke to a nice man, he said that all my orders were in stock but the centre is so busy, my order is delayed.

I asked if there was a possibility that my order will turn up before the end of the month.

He said he can’t confirm it so I just cancelled my order altogether.

He cancelled it but he told me that refund of my payment will take fourteen days.  Why?!!!

He said that is how it is!

So annoying.

I will not use Gardening Direct again.  A fail.
