I thought it was rather complicated to make homemade beef tapa. But I found a recipe that is so simple that it can be done so easily and still yield maximum taste.
For us Filipinos, beef tapa is a very welcome dish for breakfast eaten with fried rice, fried egg and fresh chopped tomatoes. Yummy.
Below is the recipe of this Asian inspired Hispanic dish. Enjoy!
Ingredients
2½ lbs. thinly sliced beef
1 head garlic, peeled and crushed
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
¼ cup vinegar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. peppercorn, crushed
1 tbsp. patis (fish sauce)
oil, for frying
Method of Preparation:
In a bowl, combine all ingredients except oil.
Marinate beef for at least 3 hours but preferably overnight.
For a more authentic tapa, dry under direct sunlight. (optional)
