Bistek (Filipino Style Beef Steak)

Bistek Tagalog Recipe

My mother makes the best bistek. I love the sauce that she makes to go with the beef steak. Soy sauce with a good spritz of calamsi or lemon juice enhanced by black peppers, fragrant garlc and soften onions which were cut in rings.

The sauce is as delicious as the meat.  The combination of the soy sauce and calamansi really make the beef extra special.  This is a favourite Sunday lunch.
