Papaya & Pineapple Tropical Smoothie
It is lovely and sunny today. Apparently it would reach up to 27-30 degrees centigrade today in London. Wow, hot.
I am here in the garden attired for summer weather in my halternecked dress with my Michael Kors sunglasses but of course under the wisdom and shade of a huge parasol to protect me from the punishing rays of the sun.
I am thinking, there is something missing and that is of course a good size glass of a tropical smoothie.
I had a look at the selection in my trusted cocktail book and I zeroed on the papaya and pineapple tropical drink. All I have to do now is to go shopping in the high street for these fruits.
Ingredients:
( Will serve 2)
1 ripe papaya, cut in half, deseed then chop.
1/2 fresh pineapple, peeled and chop.
150 ml fresh whole or semi-skimmed milk
300 ml natural yogurt
chopped pineapple to garnish
Preparation:
Put the chopped papaya, pineapple chunks, milk and yogurt into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Pour this in a couple of tall glasses and consume immediately.
PS: As it is really a hot day today, I would have added a handful of ice-cubes to the ingredients when being blended. It is also nice to add a couple of ice-cubes, crushed, into the already prepared smoothie.
Enjoy
