These are the dramas and films we go to or go back to when there is nothing much worth really watching among the current offerings.

- Finished the drama from beginning to the end.
- Watched the drama despite lacking subtitles or before subs are released.
- The story lingers in the mind.
- Good cast and acting
- Good script.
Historical Dramas:
- Evernight is a Chinese drama which is currently awaiting a second season. The first season though is worth watching on its own and it starred Chen Feiyu as Ning Que.
- The Legend of Hua Bu Qi or I Will Never Let You Go is another Chinese offering, which so delighted me that I watched it in its raw form before subs were released and enjoyed it. The casting of Ariel Lin, Vin Zhang and Austin Lin was inspired. Also the existence of Tiara Huang as Qingyu will sure to raise your blood pressure. Love this drama.

- Novoland: The Castle in the Sky is a Chinese drama. I love this mainly because the cast are utterly gorgeous.
- Prince of Lan Ling is another Chinese drama with Ariel Lin and Feng Shao Feng.
- Princess Agents is a Chinese drama. It has everything, epic story, epic cast, epic actions, epic romance and epic ending, leaving you wanting more.
- The Eternal Love Season 1 & 2
- The Princess Weiyoung
- Kingdom is a Netflix original from South Korea. It is about zombies
- Untouchable Lovers
