Episode 1
It was 1997.
Chen Chen who is part of the neighbourhood friends and is considered to be the prettiest was getting married.
Tan Xin wanted to give her a really special present so she entered a laundry competition promoting a new detergent.
She practiced her washing technique all the time including in the dead of night which sometimes worried her father.
Chen Chen was marrying a fairly well-off man which saddened Gao Ming Hui who has a massive crush on Chen Chen. Another boy told Gao Ming Hui that Chen Chen would not be getting married if Gao Ming Hui confessed to her.
This is really said because the new husband does not look nice. He was complaining that the photo shoot was taking so long.
Poor Tan Xin almost missed the wedding photo shoot and almost ended up in the hospital because she fell of her bike which was loaded with detergents she won instead of the television or computer.
Chen Chen told her that she would have been happy no matter what Tan Xin had given her.
