It seems like an exciting young cast.

Episodes 1

Once upon a time, there exists a nine-headed monster that had been horrendous and oppressive presence to the people.

To the rescue, five gods arrived in the world and fought off the monster.  It was a pretty savage battle but they did manage to seal the nine-headed monster into the very core of the Earth goddess for eternity.

The five gods then made an eternal oath never to meet again and that the monster should not be allowed to rise again.

The battle they fought burnt off most of their primal energy and four out of the five gods were never seen again.

One thousand years later…

There was an uneasy truce that exists between the two major clans.  They were the You Kingdom and the Wolf Tribe.  These two clans were separated by mountains but still now and again they would engage in battles and skirmishes.

And one such time the You Kingdom army was headed by General Bai Li Hong Yuan, the eldest son of the former Crown Prince of the Great Plains of You Kingdom.

In this instance, Bai Li Hong Yuan defeated the angry Wolf Tribe fairly easily which really angered and humiliated the Wolf Tribe leader Mola Khan.

Mola Kahn said that their defeat meant a decrease in their reputation while enhancing You Kingdom standing in the world.

They are plotting their revenge.

What they don’t know was that there was a mysterious faction that was also plotting something more abominable and this was to unfetter the spirit of the earth goddess, thereby freeing her prisoner, the nine-headed monster.

In the mansion of Bai Li Hong Yuan, a couple of dozens of ninja fighters came flying in to attack the Bai Li Family.  They did not expect that despite Bai Li Hong Yuan not being around, Bai Li Hong Hu, the second son of the former Crown Prince, was a very able martial artist.  He managed to overpower most of them and the only one that almost got inside the mansion was ably disposed of by the only daughter of the former Crown Prince.  She is Bai Li, Hong Yi.

When their elder brother finally arrived, Honghou proudly said that he can leave them anytime because he can now look after their little sister.

It seemed the elder brother will no longer have to leave often because the Emperor and the Empress Dowager had decided that HongYuan at twenty-eight was overdue a wife.  They decided to marry him off to JingYan, a daughter of a noble who had met bad times.

They told Hong Yuan that if he was not happy with the match then they can find someone else.

HongYuan did not complain and peacefully accepted the arrangement they had made for his marital situation.

The Emperor is only sixteen years old.  He was the youngest brother of the Crown Prince.  The throne was passed to him when his elder brother died instead of the eldest son of the crown prince.

The Emperor often would tell HongYuan that he was willing to abdicate so HongYuan can be the emperor.

HongYuan, however, meekly said that Bai LI Haohe should be the emperor.

Jing Yan arrived at the palace and met up with Empress Dowager.

Jing Yan managed to spook the Empress Dowager when she stared with fright at something above the head of the Empress Dowager.

The Empress Dowager asked what she saw but Jing Yan chose to be quiet.
