Episode 1

The first episode is pretty exciting.

It started with a drug bust that went wrong.

Luo Xiang was undercover narcotic police who got into the middle of a drug bust.   A drug pusher who Luo Xiang was working for reported his meeting with a drug lord to the police.

The drug lord told the pusher that he knew he reported him because he has a contact with the police as well.

The SWAT came but the drug lord was already sailing on a barge with his loot and the pusher.

Luo Xiang tried to help his pusher boss but he was gunned down by a policeman despite telling him that they were on the same side.  Luo Xiang fell into the water still holding to a box of engagement ring.

Five years later…

Drugs were a prevalent problem in Hua City where Luo Xiang who is now known as Chen Mo works as a taxi driver.

He seemed to have acquired a young daughter who is very ill.

Chen Mo needed money for an immediate kidney transplant for his daughter otherwise…

So with all the cash including his savings, he went gambling. He won too but one of the gamblers set him up by secretly inserting a couple of cards in Chen Mo’s pocket and then reported that  Chen Mo was cheating.

Chen Mo was beaten up.   Every cent of his 500,000 wins was taken back.

Chen Mo came to the radar of the narcotic police division headed by Liang Long Jia.

Anyway, Chen Mo had nothing except for his taxi which he insured and was going to deliberately crash it into a tree to get the two million life insurance but Liang Long Jia turned up and stopped him.

He then said that he will give him the 2million for Chen Mo’s daughter’s treatment but he had to be Luo Xiang once again.

Chen Mo refused, he said that drug scenes and the people are scary.

Liang Long Jia was not getting anywhere so he arrested Chen Mo for insurance fraud instead.

A drug task force was created to rejuvenate Hua City.

Liang Long Jia recruited Yu Sheng Hai, who was the face of many successful police platformes, to the narcotic units.

Yu Sheng Hai did not want to join instead he shot himself in the shoulder and then promptly resign the next day.

He was in the police station when he saw Chen Mo who he recognised as the guy he shot five years ago.

Episode 2

The twists and turns of this drama are many and not far between.  It is getting more tense and interesting.

Yu Sheng Hai promptly unresigned himself when he recognised Chen Mo as Luo Xiang.

Chen Mo was taken to a safe house and was surprised to see Yu Sheng Hai as his handler.

It turned out that Chen Mo is already working for the police so he is a double agent.  The police he was originally working for had told him that it was Yu Sheng Hai who shot him because he was a dirty cop.

So they helped Chen Mo to cover up everything that could and would identify him as the old Luo Xiang.  They even burnt his chest to conceal the gunshot wounds caused by Yu Sheng Hai.

It was good too as Yu Sheng Hai was doing a thorough investigation on Chen Mo including talking to everyone who knew Chen Mo including his nosy landlady who was only too happy to talk.

But it turned out that Chen Mo had encouraged her to talk.
