Episode 1
It started on a snowy day of 2002 November 23rd.
It was in Liuli Hutong.
Five teenagers went into action as soon as their respective parents were out of the house.
The friends were Shao Xue, Su Nian, Zhang Qi, Zhi Yin and Wu Huan.
Shao Xue is a hyperactive girl. Her mother always says that she came out two months early and never stopped giving her anxiety ever since.
Su Nian is a gentle giant of a boy and very handsome. He is the only one that can control Shao Xue.
Zhang Qi is like Shao Xue. He is into everything as well but his passion is reading manga. He is so passionate about his comic story that he had fallen in love with Ling’er a manga character.
Zhi Yin is a girly girl. She is into fashion and she would not let a mere weather change affect her fashionable attire, bare legs and all.
Wu Huan is rather fat but absolutely worships Zhi Yin and therefore carries a one-sided love.
As it was snowing and cold, the five decided to gather at Zhang Qi’s house as his parents were away on a business trip.
They decided to have a hotpot. So they started gathering their ingredients and paraphernalia for cooking.
Their major problem was a pot. Zhi Yin volunteered that her father had just acquired an antique cloisonne pot which is perfect for hot pot🤣🤣🤣. So Zhi Yin went back home with Wu Huan followed by Su Nian to break open Zhi Yin’s father’s collectible cabinet.
With the pot, they were ready but they were having problems lighting up a fire so Zhang Qi went inside the house got a bottle of alcohol, and poured it on the half-lit charcoal. They almost burned the house down which shocked their parents who were returning to Liuli Hutong.
The children were grounded but it did not last as the children knew how to twist their parents in their little fingers.
Episode 2
Zhuang Dada was bullying Sunian. Zhuang Dada has a crush on the school beauty who seemed rather friendly with Sunian. Zhuang Dada warned Sunian never to speak with the school beauty again.
Sunian, however, ignored him so Zhuang Dada started bullying Sunian.
Shao Xue and Zhang Qi found out about it and decided to teach Zhuang Dada a lesson.
The two though found out that Sunian can look after himself after he confronted Zhuang Dada. Sunian told Zhuang Dada that he can bully him as much as he like but he cannot bully Shao Xue.
Shao Xue did not hear this but what he had was that Sunian was interested in a girl. Shao Xue was upset so she tried to stay away from the clueless Sunian.
During Sunian’s mother’s birthday party where the whole of Liuli Hutong seemed to be invited, a girl took the microphone and started singing.
Immediately Shao Xue was jealous because the singer was the one she saw Sunian was talking to.
Sunian’s mother was pleasantly surprised and asked who hired the singer.
Sunian said that the girl was a member of his school choir. She is his senior.
Shao Xue suddenly felt reassured that she had not lost her childhood friend.
