Quick Precis
When Chen Meiru was twelve years old, she lived in her own fantasy world and started writing stories about a prince and other characters in her diary.
Now at 24, she suddenly realised that the characters she created all those years ago were coming to life.
Episode 1
It has a really cute and interesting start. This is such a find.
I have already given this drama a four out of 5 stars just basing on the first episode.
Anyway, it started when Chen Meiru was 12 years old. There was a school trip to a museum with a Babylonian exhibit.
Young Meiru found the place romantic especially when a young boy held on to her arm preventing her from falling.
Instantly, her romantic brain took over, and upon getting home, she started writing a story in a diary she bought at the museum.
Her story is about a Babylonian half-caste prince, who was so handsome and so valiant that everyone was falling for him and the men pledged her ultimate allegiance to serve him.
She wishes that this half-caste gorgeosity of a man would fall for her alone with his undying love.
Fast forward…
At present, Chen Meiru is becoming infamous for being a one-woman-porn-police. She detests nudity, sexual overtures, or anything salacious, mild or otherwise.
Some like her for it but the majority think she was too extreme.
Her childhood friend, Jiang Hui Zhen, threw her a Babylonian motif 24th birthday party. All her officemate went to the party.
It became so rowdy with half-naked men cavorting on the stage with Jiang Hui Zhen among them thoroughly enjoying herself.
Meiru was aghast but got more so when Hui Zhen told her to chill. She was 24 and she used to say that she will fall in love at 24. But the way she was going, this would unlikely to happen.
Meiru took a bottle of Jack Daniels proceeded to drink it.
She was not sure if she was hallucinating but from a whole in the wall, walked out a gorgeous guy with a sword who snogged her thoroughly and told her that he was going to make her happy and be her lover forever.
Yes, please!
Meiru was so confused at was going on especially when she was carried over the guy’s shoulder to leave the party.
Meanwhile, Hui Zhen spotted another handsome guy in the party. She had him undressed before he can introduced himself.
The next morning, Hui Zhen woke up with the naked guy telling her that he was a billionaire and he had bought the bar for herl. It was hers.
Hui Zhen thought he was deluded and left him.
Meiru woke up with the sound of shouting outside her apartment.
Upon investigation, she found the guy from last night pointing his sword to a frightened woman who was on the floor.
Meiru explained immediately that she did not really know the man but…
She brought the man inside her flat including the woman and her two relatives to sort out the issue.
The man said that he was Murong Jie Lun and he started smashing the apartment with his sword. The woman’s family took themselves out and does not need compensation anymore seeing that Meiru had suffered greater loss from all the chopping and grinding Murong Jie Lun had done.
When they were alone, Murong Jie Lun again told her that he will protect her and love her forever.
She began to notice that his dialogue was the same as those she had written her diary.
She also remembered that she called her character Murong Jie Lun.
Really funny and interesting drama. Totally recommend it.
