Station Chief Jin Shi Chuan saved Xu Lai when she was young.

Episode 1
It started pretty excitingly.
Xu Lai was in a hotel room or apartment when there was a lightning, thunder and earthquake which seemed to target the hotel she was in.
Anyway, she ended up falling and being trapped among the debris. She was not rescued immediately. She began to think that she would not be found and just be swallowed by darkness.
But she was woken by the most handsome fireman ever. Before too long she was rescued.
Her experience affected her so much that she developed PTSD and refused to talk and eat. A rescue dog would bring her milk and little notes to cheer her up until she finally got better.
The firemen were finally moving out but Xu Lai can’t let her gorgeous rescuer go without thanking him first.
So she run after the fire engine. It stopped and her rescuer came out.
Xu Lai shyly told him that she will find him in 10 years; she implore that he should not forget her. To get rid of this 15 year old girl, he promised to see her in 10 years.
10 years later.
Xu Lai had just returned from abroad and is now a rookie reporter. Her reason for returning from a great job abroad was of course to find Mr Gorgeous fireman who she has never forgotten.
As it happened, they met again pretty soon when she covered a fire story. But their meeting was not idyllic as she became a hindrance to his job. He did not only fail to recognise her but he was quite annoyed with her as well. He found her weird because despite rescuing her again from a life-and-death situation, she looked at him and she did not stop grinning.
Unfortunately for her, a report made initially by her news agency made it sound like the firemen did not do their job properly or bravely.
To make it up, she asked her boss if she will do an in-depth story on the firemen.
She was just going to the station when her two longest friends Huo Yan Zhong and Han Fang were waiting for her outside. They took her for a meal but she had to leave pretty quickly as she had to see to her dog.
Yan Zhong had had a crush on Xu Lai for the longest time but never confessed to her. Han Fang told him to do it ASAP before she got together with her fireman.
You might find it hard to recognise the handsome Xu Kai Cheng in this drama because apparently his face had been changed by an AI. Too harsh a punishment for his cheating scandal.
