Episode 1
He Zheng Yu is a very successful, very prominent lawyer known for his 100% Win. He was hired by a rising star, Wu Ji Rong to conduct his divorce from her supposed cheating husband, Jiang Sheng Hao, played by Dai Gao Zheng fresh from his successful mini-drama, Maid’s Revenge.
Anyway, during the trial, all the evidence was nicely presented but then Ji Rong admitted to having committed perjury and that her gripes against her husband were all fake.
Zheng Yu called for adjudication, but it was too late.
Ji Rong went incommunicado and can’t be contacted. This debacle resulted in Zheng Yu’s career ending in tatters.
Almost overnight, he lost everything, his job, and his house, which comes with the job and his reputation.
With the help of his assistant, he was able to find and move into another house. He put an origami bird he found on the street by the window.
That night, he slept in the sofa as he had not sorted the bedroom yet and as somewhat unemployed he decided to take his time.
He had a bit of a drink but then we sort of woke up and found that there was evidence of takeout on the coffee table which he did not remember ordering, then he staggered to get a drink from inside his fridge. Instead of water, he drank orange juice which surprised him as he only has water in his fridge. When he checked the juice it has an expiration date of 2021.
He went to the bathroom to make himself sick. He drank what he thought was a tonic which tasted strange because it was a woman’s face toner. He saw women’s paraphernalia all over the place. He was still thinking about it when everything turned back to normal. He thought he was just dreaming.
The next night, he actually saw a woman and he got so frightened, thinking it was a ghost. he was shaking and could hardly move
Then the woman vanished again. He thought again that this mirage was due to his drinking alcohol
If this ghostly sighting is not stressful enough, he also had people throwing eggs at his window. His assistant said that someone posted He Zheng Yu’s address online.
That night, Zheng Yu decided to go to bed early and not drink. At 10.06, he woke up because there was someone in bed with him. A woman in red pajamas. He got so scared and yet too frightened to wake or get away from the woman.
The woman woke and noticed him, they ended up both screaming in fright at each other.
