Episode 1

I enjoyed it.  It is a cute first episode.  The chemistry between Vin Zhang and Janice Wu was already strong despite this being the initial part.

Xiang Yuan was a broadcaster and a popular masked live streamer called Asher.  But to her fans’ distress, she gave up or retired from live streaming.

What her fans did not know was that she comes from a very affluent family.  Her grandfather was nagging her to go on blind dates so she could choose a life partner. She told her grandpa that she will never get married.

They came to an understanding.  Xiang Yuan had to go to Weilin, a vehicle navigational company that was not doing well.  Grandpa challenged her to turn Weilin around and make it profitable, in return she could do what she wanted in life and Grandpa would not send her to another blind date.

She agreed and flew to Weilin.  By coincidence, she met her high school crush.  She tried to make herself as inconspicuous as possible so he would not recognise her.

She still remembers that back in high school, she thought that he had a crush on her so she pursued him but he blanked her.  The situation became untenable for him so he ended up transferring to another school.

Xu Yan Shi grew to be even more handsome than in high school but Xiang Yuan still felt guilty about how she treated him back then.

Episode 2

One of the agreements she had with her Grandpa was not to reveal that she is the CEO’s granddaughter.

Xiang Yuan was mortified at first to know that she would be working very closely with Xu Yan Shi at Weilin.

But Xiang Yuan was confident so she took the bull by its horns. She flirted outrageously with Xu Yan Shi.

It looks like Xu Yan Shi knew so much about her.

Episode 3

This drama is super cute.  It is so sweet.

Anyway, Xu Yan Shi is really interested in Xiang Yuan but she was still feeling embarrassed on how she chased him in high school so she told him that they should start over.  And also she was over her crush on him.

Xu Yan Shi was rather downhearted hearing this.

But still, he likes her company.

Chen Su, the girlfriend of Gao Leng had said that she met some people of a new company while she was in Shanghai.  They have heard of Xu Yan Shi and they wanted him to join their company.

Episode 4

Back in high school, Xiang Yuan invited Xu Yan Shi to her birthday party at her house.  He agreed at first but on the day, he suddenly could not go.

Xiang Yuan was so furious at him and threw the gift she got him for tutoring her at his feet.  Not long after Xu Yan Shi transferred to another school and had not seen him until now.

At Weilin, Xiang Yuan realised why the company was not doing well.  There is so much bureaucracy and the employees are a bunch of layabouts and gossipers who are clock-watching.

Even Xu Yan Shi to a certain extent has been defeated by the system.

But Xiang Yuan is a feisty woman who was determined to make a success of the company or she will die trying.

And it was very trying because her Grandpa and brother seemed to be teaching her a lesson to live within her means as an ordinary employee.  They cut off her credit cards and she had to borrow money from her best friend.

She became known as the penniless princess of the Tech Department.

I love Xiang Yuan.  She really works hard and concentrates on her work and tries every resource she can get hold of.

Episode 5

Whoa, Xu Yan Shi seemed to have really liked her in high school because he is still living in the past and remembers every little thing like overhearing her wanting a cake from an exclusive patisserie.  He secretly got the cake for her but he got upset when he saw that she gave the cake away.  When he mentioned this to her now, she was so surprised.  She never thought that the cake came from him.

Anyway, the industry believes that Weilin will go bankrupt within the year so no one takes it seriously anymore.

But Xiang Yuan does not know it and is still very optimistic.  Unfortunately, even if she is optimistic, she still needs money especially when her credit card bills arrived.  She was rather upset that she had to sell one of her limited edition Hermes bad.

Xiang Yuan was able to convince a very reluctant Xu Yan Shi to join a contest for the prize bonus money.

Episode 6

Xiang Yuan was left in charge of the Tech Department because Xu Yan Shi had to go to Shanghai to support his friend, the Old Ghost, who had to have surgery.

Xiang Yuan offered to contact her uncle who is a renowned neurosurgeon.

Xu Yan Shi was told that Dr Gu Yan was away on holiday.

He thought someone else operated on Old Ghost but the doctor said he was Gu Yan.  Apparently, Xiang Yuan called him on the first day of his holiday abroad.  She blackmailed him with the Hippocratic Oath so he had to go back to the hospital.

Xu Yan Shi was so grateful to Xiang Yuan.

Episode 7

The surgery was a success.

However, Xiang Yuan landed herself in trouble when she spat and disrespected their client, Mr. Wu Qiming.  Who then refused to sign the contract.

She then went to Shanghai to meet Xu Yan Shi.

It so happened that they were spotted by one of their high school friends.  They ended up going to a school reunion.

Episode 8

Xuang was upset with the gossip that Xu Yan Shi because was dating Chen Shan of Donghe Group.  It was his connection with Chen Shan that made him what he is today in the company.

Episode 9

Veilin is wondering why the newbie Xiang Yuan was already one of the only three Class A in the company.

Episode 10

Xu Yan Shi was really into Xiang Yuan, who was playing hot and cold.

But after going to a dinner drink with the client, Mr Qiming, Xu Yan Shi got drunk but they still returned to the office afterwards.

Xu Yan Shi then asked if Xiang Yuan wanted to see the stars.  At first, she was not interested but they ended up on the huge balcony and while looking at the stars and comparing it to photos on Yan Shi’s mobile phone, they accidentally kissed.

Episode 11

While Xiang Yuan forced herself to believe that it was only an accidental kiss, Xu Yan Shi was excited and determined to get his girl.  He even started thinking of saving for his wedding.

This episode is bittersweet but absolutely frustrating.

Poor Xu Yan Shi confessed to Xiang Yuan but she told him to find another girl.  She thinks that he was really in love with someone else.

But he loved Xiang Yuan; she had been the only girl he had ever loved.

Anyway, the story arc of the toilet pervert had been resolved.  It was not Li Chi but a maintenance guy who had a history of putting cameras where women would frequent.

Episode 12

Li Chi might not be the pervert but he continues to be a problem to Xiang Yuan.  So Xiang Yuan asked her grandad to transfer Li Chi out of her department.

Her grandad gave her a long spiel about it not important enough that she should be able to overcome it as just a mild irritation.

Episode 13

Li Chi knew that Xu Yan Shi likes Xiang Yuan so to incite Xu Yan Shi he told him that Xiang Yuan might be taken by someone else.

So when Xu Yan Shi went on a business trip, he bugged Gao Leng to watch Xiang Yuan for him.  So Gao Leng had to send him secret photos of Xiang Yuan on her desk to reassure Xu Yan Shi that she was ok.

Episode 14

Grandad CEO told Xiang Yuan that Li Chi is transferring out of her department into Logistics.  At the same time, he told her that she is now the Director of the Technical Department as Mr Yang was moved to HQ.

Her team was shocked when she was announced as the new director as they expected him to get the promotion for his brilliance and hard work.

Though Xu Yan Shi was surprised with the turn of events, he was not too bothered with the promotion.

But he knew that Xiang Yuan was feeling guilty about so he tormented her a little bit.

Episode 19

Xu Yan Shi finally found out that Xiang Yuan is the CEO’s granddaughter.

Episode 20

After dumping her three times, they are finally officially together but then he was moving to Shanghai after he resigned from his job at Veilan.

Xiang Yuan understood why Xu Yan Shi had to move.  His calibre is much too good for Velin.

Grandpa CEO finally approved of Xu Yan Shi especially when he found out that he was the boy Xiang Yuan liked in high school.

Poor Gao Leng was just too immature and kept getting into trouble.  Because of his behaviour, Chen Shu does not think much of him, especially as a life partner.

Chen Shu was warned by Xiang Yuan about Lu Dong but she did not believe Xiang Yuan.  Only when Lu Dong’s son told her that he wished that she becomes his mother because his father’s other girlfriends did not have much time for him.  The boy then showed her his father’s Wechat full of his girlfriends.

Apparently in 1993, the US closed down the use of GPS which meant Chinese ships were left not knowing precisely where to go.  This problem made China to create or establish their own GPS.  By 2000, they started BeiDou

Professor Liang told Xu Yan Shi that there is a big expo in Europe in October and he would like Xu Yan Shi to attend it with him.

Episode 29

Yang Ping Shan left Donghe in the lurch by leaving the company with the core technicians and workers to establish his own AI Medical company.  The stress and worry caused Grandpa CEO to be hospitalised which of course worried Xiang Yuan and her brother.

Since Xiang Jia Mian studied Veterinary Medicine in college, he was not much of help in trying to steady the sinking ship of Donghe so it was all left to Xiang Yuan to stir.

She was told that they would need a new CTO for the company and Xu Yan Shi is the best candidate.

As drama would have it, Xu Yan Shi was finally a step closer to his dream of getting to Global Space Navigation courtesy of his supportive professor Liang Qin.

He was preparing for his interview which Xiang Yuan understood and supported so she did not tell him about the trouble Donghe was in.

But he found out and texted his professor that he was withdrawing from the Global Space Navigation because Xiang Yuan needed him.

Xu Yan Shi went to Grandpa CEO rather than to Xiang Yuan to confirm that he was assuming the role of CTO at Donghe.

The irate Professor Liang immediately went to see the innocent Xiang Yuan and called her all names under the sun.  He called her selfish, self-serving, needy, and a user.  He told her that as it is her problem, she should solve it on her own and leave Xu Yan Shi to pursue his own dream.

Poor Xiang Yuan had too much already on her plate without having to deal with a moronic intellectual as well.🤣🤣🤣

Episode 30

Professor Liang really screwed up Xiang Yuan mentally so she refused Xu Yan Shi’s help but Xu Yan Shi insisted.

In her fury and guilt, Xiang Yuan told him that if he stayed in the company, they will break up.

Xu Yan Shi stayed but refused the breakup. The tech people from Velin came to Dongye to help.  Also, Xu Yan Shi’s three college best friends came to work for Donghe as well.

The money problem was solved by Xiang Jia MIn by selling his business & property and reinvesting at Dongye.

Still, Xiang Yuan refused to make up with Xu Yan Shi.

Grandpa CEO did instruct Director Bai to collate all of Xu Yan Shi’s document so he could still go for his Global interview.

Xu Yan Shi now regularly visit Grandpa CEO.  He told Grandpa that Xiang Yuan was breaking up with him.

Episode 31

Grandpa told him that it was better to do as Xiang Yuan asked as she was like her grandmother.  She is softhearted but very prideful.  Going against or questioning their decision would only escalate further to the point of no return.  Grandpa CEO explained the reason why he had a different surname from his grandchildren.  He said to pacify his wife he changed his name to her surname.

Anyway, Xiang Yuan’s problem was almost irrevocably unsolvable, everyone she approached turned their back on her.  Not one bank would lend her money.

The only solution opened to her was to marry Feng Lun so his family will fork out 500M for Donghe.

Grandad CEO told Xiang Yuan to declare bankruptcy rather than marry Fen Lun.

Episode 32

It is a happy ending.  It is rather on the draggy side, the proposal was prolonged too much until you just don’t care anymore. LOL

Anyway, Donghe received more money than it wanted and in the end, Xiang Yuan had to return them.

Xu Yan Shi made a quick visit to America to visit his estranged mother.  The mother then transferred 500,000,000 to Xiang Yuan and asked her to take care of Xu Yan Shi.

Xiang Yuan assured the mother that she would care for Xu Yan Shi but she refunded the money back to the mother’s account.

She did the same thing to Xiang Jia Min’s girlfriend’s family.  She told her brother not to sell himself to anyone but her brother said that it was actually a love match with Xiaomin.  So Xiang Yuan said that it was all the more reason to return the money so their start will be pristine of any issues.

It was Jiang Yi Shi that gave her the money.  He and his wife, Xu Yuan had been away and had only heard about Donghe’s predicament. He always remembers that she saved his company when everyone was giving up on it including him. Xiang Yuan heard that his company was struggling. She transferred 5,000,000 into his account without any question.  So he made her a shareholder.  The company became big.

So he was just returning the favour.

Meanwhile, everyone was excited for Xu Yan Shi who is now a valued member of the National Sattelite.  Everyone was agog  when BD2 was launched.

Grandpa advised her to go easy with Xu Yan Shi because his job was busy that he might appear so self-absorbed sometimes but it was just part of the vocation.

Finally, Xu Yan Shi had time to said that he was ready to get married anytime.
