Episode 1

A good start.  So many familiar faces from the mini-drama, Maid’s Revenge.

Anyway, Ye Qing Lan had been married off to a comatose Mu An He, the second son of the Mu family, as his talisman token bride.

The thing is Ye Qing Lan was really in love with Mu An Cheng, the first son and he was very much in love with her.

There was a double wedding that day.  Qing Lan married Mu An He while Mu An Cheng married Ye Qing Qing.

Ye Qing Qing was the daughter of the eldest male in the Ye Family which she considers the legitimate family but still, she was very jealous of her cousin Ye Qinglan because An Cheng was in love with her.

Qing Lan was resigned to her fate and truly did not mind when she saw that Mu An He was actually the one who saved her when she was almost raped one evening while she was out in the street.

Her abuse was actually the reason why she did not want to marry An Cheng because she thought she was no longer worthy of him.

An Cheng though came into the marital room of Qinglan and Mu An He.  He told Qinglan that if An He dies that night, she will be buried with him.  He asked her to run away with him.

Qinglan refused but then Ye Qing Qing and the new mother-in-law came in.  Qing Qing created a scene and wanted Qinglan to be punished for seducing An Cheng.

Poor Qinglan got a good slapping from Mother-in-law.

Anyway, Qinglan started looking after Mu An He and found out that he was systematically being poisoned when she found a strong small amount of toxic bark being boiled as a tonic for An He.

She told this to her Mother-in-law in front of the doctor.

The doctor immediately confessed that it was Qinglan who paid him to poison An He because she did not want to marry a half-dead man.

Mother-in-law believed the doctor and told Qinglan that she will report this to her father.

Qinglan begged the mother-in-law not to as her father was not in the best of health.

Whoa, this summary is so long for a short episode. 🤣🤣🤣

Episode 2

Mother Mu used waterboarding on Qinglan.  Qinglan’s father begged on his bended knees at Mother Mu to stop the torture but Mother Mu refused.  Only when An Cheng came that the torture stopped.

But it was not over for Qinglan.  She woke up in a dirty warehouse being forced to drink an abortion tonic while Mother Mu, Qing Qing, and An Cheng stood over her.

Qinglan said she cannot be pregnant but then she remembered that she was raped.

An He suddenly staggered into the warehouse and went to Qinglan.  He said that he was the father of her baby.  As soon as he found out that they were about to be married, he can’t wait to have her to himself.

Later, Qinglan asked An He why he saved her when she is a dirty fallen woman.

An He disagreed.  He promised to look after her and will treat the baby as his own flesh and blood.

Aww, he is really gorgeous, Dai Gao Zheng, I mean.😉

Episode 3

Zhixia, the maid who is a lover of An Cheng reported to him that An He is the father of Qinglan’s baby.  But then she also said that perhaps it was An Cheng because she knew he was the one who raped Qinglan by drugging her first.  Zhixia knew what An Cheng was planning.  He wanted to marry Qing Qing and then have Qinglan as his concubine to ensure that he gets the fortune of the Ye.

Zhixia continued that An He promised to look after Qinglan and with a baby on the way the Mu fortune will be inherited but An He.  She said that Qinglan must lose the baby.

The next day, An Cheng ambushed Qinglan and hugged her.  Qinglan did not want to have anything more to do with him and returned the Cartier bracelet he gave her 🤣.  He hugged her again and that was how Qing Qing found them.

Qing Qing beat up Qinglan.  Qinglan fell and hurt her stomach which made her lose her baby.

An He was very upset when he found out what had happened but Qinglan said that perhaps it was for the best that the baby has gone.

But Qinglan started planning a revenge against Qing Qing.

Episode 4

Qinglan got her revenge on QingQing when she found out that Qingqing has a lover who she had been giving treasures from the Mu.

Mother Mu was so annoyed and so was An Cheng.  Qingqing was beaten up.

An He found An Cheng with Zhixia.  An He had a gun and was going to use it on An Cheng.

An Cheng said that An He had all the luck and was treated better by the family.  An Cheng confessed that he knew he was adopted.  Qinglan being pregnant would have meant that An He will get everything.

An He told him that Qinglan said to him that she saw a star scar on the back of her assailant which confirmed that An Cheng was the rapist and the father of Qinglan’s baby.  An He said that he did not sleep with Qinglan.

An He said that An Cheng killed his own baby.  This news broke An Cheng and almost beaten up Zhixia who told him that An He was the father of Qinglan’s baby.

Episode 5

An He had not been home for days. Mother Mu blamed Qinglan for being uncaring.  Then a servant came running in with a ransom note asking 500,000 taels for the return of An He.

Mother Mu wanted to report it to the police but Qinglan said not to anger the kidnappers. Ancheng agreed.

Qinglan got some money from her family and Mother Mu gave her some more.  Mother Mu said that Qinglan must bring the ransom money to the kidnappers.

After handing over the money, she noticed that the villa was on fire.

What she brought back to the Mu was a charred body.

They blamed her for what happened.  Mother Mu ordered for her to be thrown out of the mansion.

Qinglan was so upset and wanted to send An He as his widow so she used her body to ram open the gate.  She fainted after trying a couple of times.

Ancheng came out and carried her back in.

Episode 6

Qinglan found Zhixian on top of Ancheng when she looked for her to clarify what Zhixian said AnHe did come home but left again and then got kidnapped and died.

Ancheng told Qinglan that he had a bad back and Zhixian was just giving him a massage.

Qinglan told him that it has nothing to do with her but he must not sneak in with Zhixian and just marry her already.

Still, Ancheng said that it was not that kind of relationship.

It turned out that Ancheng killed An He and Zhixian helped hide the evidence.  She was on top of him because she was trying to edit the mark on Ancheng’s back.

Meanwhile, back in her room, Qinglan decided that it was time for her to leave as she had done her mourning for Anhe.  Before she could go she was assaulted by a guy who is Ancheng’s cohort who came to get his fee.

Qinglan was able to fight back.  Ancheng turned up and beat the guy but he fell on his back.  Qinglan saw his back bleeding.

She also  saw the familiar mark on his back.  Mother Mu turned up and utterly disgusted that Qinglan was still in the house and causing mayhem.

Episode 7

The kidnapper who was tied up in the warehouse confirmed to Qinglan that Ancheng was the baddy.  He was the mastermind to her kidnapping and the one who abused her.  He said that Ancheng wanted to make her his concubine and her cousin his first wife so he gets the entire fortune of the Ye.

Qinglan was consumed with rage and promised herself to make Ancheng pay for what he did to her and for killing An He.

She went to Jiangcheng Inn, she found fabric and blood stains.  But needed to collect more evidence to convict Ancheng.

Episode 8

To carry out her revenge, Qinglan agreed to be Ancheng’s concubine.  Their first night was interrupted by ZhiXia trying to commit suicide as she was desperate to become an official concubine too.

Zhixia told Ancheng that she was pregnant.  She mentioned that he would kill her baby too the way he killed Qinglan’s baby.

This was overheard by Qinglan.

Episode 9

Ancheng told Qinglan that he will send Zhixia away but Qinglan disagreed because she would be gossiped as a jealous concubine.

Instead, Qinglan advised making Zhixia a concubine as she is already pregnant with Ancheng’s baby.

Ancheng could not be any happier really but pretended that he was only going to make Zhixia his concubine to comply with Qinglan’s wishes.

In order not to consummate her marriage with Ancheng, Qinglan pretended that she was suffering from the abuse she had from the unknown assailant.

Qinglan heard from her spy that it was impossible for Zhixia to be pregnant as Qing Qing had been making sure that Ancheng get a tonic to lower his sperm count.

So Qinglan made Qing Qing know that Zhixia is pregnant.  Qing Qing went to Zhixia and said that if she was pregnant then it was not Ancheng’s baby.

She then said that if Zhixia wanted to live at the Mu, she has to work with her.

They plotted that Zhixia will have a pretend miscarriage and blame Qinglan for giving Zhixia a tosic tonic.

Episode 24

Qinglan was doing the accounts when Zhixia came in with some soup for her. Zhixia spilled a ladle of soup on the desk so she used her silk handkerchief to wipe the surface. Qinglan does not trust Zhixia at all so she did not touch the soup.  After a few minutes, when Zhixia was gone, Qinglan felt funny.

She was surprised that she felt strange when she did not touch the soup, she realised that Zhixia had aphrodisiac powder in her handkerchief and that was making her hot and bothered.  She dropped a bowl that shattered into pieces which injured her foot.

Tang Zi Feng came in and found her out of sorts.  He carried her unwilling body into her bed.  But then she tried to kiss him and call him An He.

Tang Zi Feng realised that Qinglan still liked him because he is An He.  Qinglan told him to go and leave her as she took a pill to make her sick.

Zhixia told Ancheng to go to Qinglan’s room thinking that Qinglan will be amorous because of the aphrodisiac.

Ancheng found Qinglan being sick on a bucket instead.

The next day, Qinglan met Tang Zi Feng who apologised for not keeping her safe.  She finally confirmed that he is An He.

Episode 25

Zhixia was locked up in a storage room where Qing Qing found her.  Qing Qing ordered her maid to beat up Zhixia.  Ancheng turned up and saved Zhixia but then Qing Qing was not finished with her revenge against Zhixia.

She plotted to make Ancheng find Zhixia in a compromising situation.  Ancheng had Zhixia and lover locked up.

Zhixa was so annoyed with the man who happened to be her own cousin for betraying her.  They had an argument and she accidentally pushed him and he fell on a sharp object killin him instantly.

Zhixia then went to her room to get her treasure but Ancheng found her and strangled her because she knew too much.

Episode 30

Ancheng abducted Qinglan and took her to a derelict building.  He was annoyed with her for lying to him.  He said that he just found out that she knew all along that he was the one who ravished her but she pretended that she was clueless.

He was going to abuse her again but Tan Zifeng turned up.  Tan Zifeng told Ancheng to divorce Qinglan.

Ancheng declined at first but then he said cunningly that if transfer the Zifeng goldmine to him then he will consider the divorce.

Tan Zifeng immediately agreed to the mine transfer.

Mu Ancheng proudly and happily told his business partners that he had two announcements.  First he divorced Qinglan and second, he is now the owner fo the Zifeng goldmine.

His glee was interrupted by the arrival of Tan Zifeng who was now dressed changshan.  Suddenly, everyone recognised him as the Second master, Mu Anhe. 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣 Clothes maketh the man!🤪🤪🤪🤪

Mu An He then enumerated the various heinous transgression done by Ancheng which included rape, abduction, attempted murder, fire starting, thievery, and the murder of his adoptive mother, Madam Mu.

To the end, he was saying that they do not have proof but the police turned up with Zhixia who said she could give the evidence.

Qinglan and also turned up and would have been stabbed by Ancheng who was getting wilder but Anhe covered Qinglan with his body and got stabbed in the back instead,

As Ancheng would not calm down, the police shot him dead.

Anhe was a different person.  He is now very forceful and confident which rather excited and confused Qinglan.

So when he gave her an engagement ring she pretended to reconsider.  But then he started to show pain from his stab wound.

Qinglan hugged him and they live happy ever after.

So this is really another Dai Gao Zheng drama.  It has been enjoyable, I have to admit.  Hope they do another mini-drama with the whole cast.

I personally give this drama 4 stars because I did really find the story interesting.
