Episode 1
Yu Wen and Zi Qi are back for the second time after Once We get married.
Min Hui who does not usually attend a party turned up at the Cheng’s party. Min Hui proceeded to seduce Cheng Qi Rang. She sat on his lap but the next thing she knew was a glass of wine being poured on her head by Cheng Yi Ting, Qi Rang’s wife.
The situation would have escalated more but Qin Xi turned up and rescued Min Hui.
Cheng Qi Rang was upset with how everything had progressed because Qin Xi, the elusive director of Blue Jay Investment was their guest of honour.
Anyway, Min Hui cannot believe Qin Xi was in front of her. 5 Years ago, he told her to bugger off and never show her face again.
Qin Xi said that it looked like she had not changed in the last 5 years, she is still the same man-hungry woman.
Despite the insult, Min Hui was concerned about him. She asked him if he still has his illness..
Anyway, later on, Min Hui called Qi Rang to remind him of their deal. She pretended to seduce him in return of Mr Cheng, the great surgeon, QiRang’s uncle, operating on her son.
Her son is a cute boy with a heart condition.
Qin Xi actually met the boy while he was in the hospital for another of his own check-up.
Episode 2
Jiaren Hospital’s biggest shareholder is Blue Jay Investment. When Xin Qi found out that Mist, a computer app Innovation is being marketed by R&D and was a project by Min Hui, he had the project killed.
Min Hui tried her best to make Xin Qi reconsider his decision.
He finally did but he gets upset at the littlest things especially when he made MIn Hui wait but after 30 minutes she just left.
He got jealous when he saw Min Hui being very chummy with Dr Zhou Ruji.
Episode 3
Xin Qi was annoyed that Min Hui seemed to have moved on immediately after they parted because she had gotten married and had a son.
Cute Quan Quan thought told him he has no father, he had gone away.
Xin Qi began to think that Min Quan Quan might be his son but Min Hui gave him different birthday information for her son.
Episode 4
Xin Qi helped Min Hui find out why her company did not get the Mist tender for Jiaren Hospital. They found out that the company which won had bribed the hospital director.
There is an Easter egg at the end of every episode. Xin Qi had a childhood friend Si Tu. They lost touch but made a promise to meet again.
Situ met and accident and died but prior to her death she asked her friend Min Hui to meet Xin Qi but not to tell him what happened to her.
So Xin Qi was overjoyed to see Min Hui who he thought was Si Tu.
Episode 5
Xin Qi put Min Hui in a position where she had to tell the truth in respect of Quan Quan’s parentage. Xin Qi pretended that Quan Quan needed a blood transfusion. Min Hui was so worried because her blood is not compatible.
Xin Qi offered to donate blood but Min Hui was blurted that he can’t because he was a direct relative.
Xin Qi was upset at first that she did not tell him that she was pregnant with his child but she reminded him that he hated her guts at that time.
Anyway, Xin Qi was so excited to be a dad so he moved in with them. He begged Min Hui to allow him to stay for at least half a month so he could get to know Quan Quan.
Little Easter 🥚 : Xin Qi and Si Tu used to be at the same orphanage. Si Tu had always protected him so he made it his mission to find her one day. He thought Min Hui was Si Tu.
Episode 6
Xin Qi is enjoying being a father to Quan Quan. He promised Quan Quan that no matter what happens he will always be with him. He doesn’t want Quan Quan to experience being an unwanted child just like when Xin Qi was in the orphanage.
He started spoiling Quan Quan, taking him shopping and playing.
Episode 7
Min Hui likes that the two were bonding but she took issues when she thought Xin Qi was spoiling Quan Quan. She said that he might get used to luxury, what would happened when Xin Qi is gone.
Qin Xi said that he promised Quan Quan that he was not leaving him.
Min Hui was shocked and asked Qin Xi how long is he planning to stay in her house.
Qin Xi said he will take Quan Quan with him if Quan Quan wanted to leave with him.
Min Hui was not amused and said that though Quan Quan would not be here without Qin Xi, still Quan Quan is her son and must stay with her.
Qin Xi agreed with her. He said that the boy needs his mother.
Qin Xi confessed that when he first learned that Min Hui was his son, he was upset with Min Hui because of his hereditary heart condition. He was so sorry that Quan Quan at such a young age already had open heart surgery. At the same time, Qin Xi thank her for giving him a son. Now he has true kin.
There was a guy at R&D office who is a total maniac. He chatted up all the women and he is known for sexually harrassing them as well.
Min Hui was so annoyed with him during a drink up party. The guy was Ding Yi Feng. He started humiliating Min Hui for being a single mother. This was overheard by Qin Xi who was on the other side of the restaurant for a business meeting.
Qin Xi came around and hit Ding Yi Feng who can’t fight back because Qin Xi is a major client.
Still, Ding Yi Feng continued to harass Min Hui. He was able to take a very misleading photo of Min Hui looking like she was kissing a man in a moving car.
There are two side romances in this drama as well.
The other couple was Cao Mu and a young guy Chen Jia Jun. Cao Mu short of hit Chen Jia Jun with her car so she started taking responsibility for the gorgeous Chen JIa Jun. She moved him into her house until he was better.
It looks like he was better but continued to pretend that his broken leg had not healed. Anyway, she found that he had been lying to her when he rescued a little kid.
Obviously, Cao Mu was very upset of being lied to but she did not expect Chen Jia Jun would move out immediately.
The next other couple was a none starter as far as I am concerned. I am not just interested. It was Dr Zhou Ru Ji and a ballet dancer.
Episode 8
Zhou Ru Ji returned from his business conference and went immediately to check on Min Hui and Quan Quan. Ru Ji got a surprise when Xin Qi opened the door.
Min Hui had to run after Ru Ji to explain what the real status quo with Xin Qi. She stayed and chatted with Ru Ji for a while. When she returned at the apartment, Xin Qi jealously said that she was away for far too long.
This started a war between Xin Qi and Ru Ji.
Episode 9
Ru Ji feels sad because he was becoming redundant in the lives of Min Hui and even Quan Quan. It does not help that Xin Qi was crowing about it and proprietorial about Quan Quan and of Min Hui as she is the mother of his son.
Min Hui can’t get support from R&D for her latest AI heart apps so she declared that she was going to get the funding herself. Of course, as she was living with a money man, it was a no-brainer to approach Xin Qi first.
Xin Qi told her that his company was currently working with Cheng Qirang on his cancer app but if she waited six months he might be able to help her.
Min Hui begged and said that she could make the app in less possible time. She told Xin Qi to give her two weeks before making his final decision. Min Hui worked day and night and finally did a good enough rudimentary framework for the app.
To unwind afterwards, she went drinking with Cao Mu. She got so merry, Ru Ji came to get her but then at the lobby of the apartment building, Xin Qi saw them and plucked Min Hui from Ru Ji.
Xin Qi put Min Hui to bed. Min Hui drunkenly kissed Xin Qi and then promptly fell asleep.
Episode 10
Xin Qi, Min Hui, and Quan Quan became more like a family. Which really saddened and excluded Ru Ji.
Unfortunately, this might mean that Ru Ji will end up with the spoilt annoying pushy girl he doesn’t deserve.
Anyway, Xinqi, Min Hui and Quan Quan spent the day at an amusement park. They enjoyed their time together so much
When they got back to the apartment building, Ru Ji was waiting. He then gifted Min Hui with a beautiful pair of heels.
Cao Mu was more successful in her pursuit of Chen Jia Jun.
Episode 11
Still jealous of Ru Ji gifting Min Hui with a pair of heels, Xin Qi went shopping and got Min Hui a pair of shoes as well. It was flats which she preferred.
Quan Quan had a parent/teacher event at kindergarten. Quan Quan asked Min Hui to attend with him and preferably with Xin Qi as well.
Unfortunately, Xin Qi was going on a business trip so Min Hui did not even mention the event. Quan Quan though happened to take photos of MIn Hui trying to bake cupcakes but with not much success. Quan Quan then mentioned the parent/teacher event.
Ru Ji happened to visit Min Hui so he helped her bake cupcakes.
During the event, no one would like to taste Min Hui’s cupcakes because they looked too ordinary. Min Hui was apologising to Quan Quan about it when all of sudden Xin Qi appeared with cakes that can be personalised and it was a hit with the children.
Episode 12
This episode is hilarious as far as Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun are concerned. Cao Mu was agog with excitement that Chen Jia Jun was planning a big confession to make their relationship official. Instead, Cao Mu put herself in many embarrassing situations thinking that he was going to do it. Unfortunately, lovebirds were confessing left, right, and centre, and yet Chen Jia Jun did not say anything, in fact, he laughed at her embarrassment.🤪
When finally Cao Mu can’t take it anymore, she asked Cao Mu about it. All he said was that she was his girlfriend. Cao Mu was happy.
The sexual tension between Min Hui and Xin Qi was so strong they would stare hungrily at one another and would sometimes almost kiss.
Xin Qi was reluctant to have a full medical but his secretary insisted and when Min Hui heard about it, she told Xin Qi to go for it.
At the hospital, Xin Qi overheard Ru Ji taking to the annoying girl that he does not like her because he was in love with someone else already.
Episode 13
Aww Cao Mu finally had her cute confession of love from Chen Jia Jun. He learned synchronised swimming to use it to confess to her. They are so cute actually, you really want them to have a really happy ending!🤣🤣🤣
Cao Mu could not wait to introduce her gorgeous boyfriend to Min Hui.
Min Hui approved of Chen Jia Jun though she thought he was rather too young.
But at the moment, it is not a happy time for Min Hui and Xin Qi. At first, they were getting along so well and Min Hui was so happy with him that she told him that they could both look after Quan Quan together. They were so happy.
Then, she dropped by his office. She found a document on his desk for a full custody lawsuit against her for Quan Quan.
Min Hui did not give him a chance to explain. She threw him out of the apartment.
She then confided to Ru Ji what had happened. Ru Ji told her that he knew of a good lawyer. He then added that in cases as child custody, the care of the child is usually given to the healthier parent. `He also said that he could marry her so she could look the more settled and when she gets the custody, she could divorce him.
Min Hui told Ru Ji that she could not take advantage of him. It became so awkward so he said he was just joking.
Episode 14
There was a High Tech Summit that Min Hui was invited to. So Min Hui decided to go earlier to get a bit of a break with Quan Quan.
Xin Qi heard about it and tried to make everything more comfortable for Min Hui and Quan Quan. But Min Hui got suspicious so started turning down the upgrades and freebies at the hotel.
She and Quan Quan then saw Xin Qi being enthusiastically kissed (on the cheek) by a beautiful woman. Quan Quan shouted at the woman for kissing his father when his mother had not had a chance to kiss Xin Qi.
Xin Qi was annoyed with the woman and tried to explain to Min Hui about his relationship with the woman.
He said that she was Cindy, his older sister, and boss. Cindy was actually so lovely but then to talk before she think.
Still, Min Hui don’t trust either Cindy or Xin Qi not to fight for custody of Quan Quan.
MIn Hui asked Quan Quan who he would like to live with, her or Xin Qi.
Little Quan Quan is a very mature child. He said that he would like to live with Xin Qi but with her there as well. He asked Min Hui why she wanted to know. Is she thinking of giving him away to Xin Qi? He said that he knows it is hard to look after him alone but he is growing up so fast, he will be able to look after her soon.
Aww. He is absolutely adorable. Cui Xin Yi is such a good actor.
Cheng Qi Rang was making out with Lin Xi Yue when he called out Min Hui’s name.
Episode 15
MIn Hui, Xin Qi and Quan Quan had a family bonding. They went camping at the seaside.
Episode 16
It was the day of the symposium. Lin Xi Yue complained to Cheng Qi Rang that the first speaker was Min Hui.
To shut Lin Xi Yue’s jealous moaning, Cheng Qi Rang bribed the organiser to cancel Min Hui’s speech.
Min Hui, however, was one badass woman. She told the leaving audience that she was supposed to be the first speaker but someone the organiser just canceled her part without a real reason. Min Hui was allowed to continue with her presentation because Cheng Qi Rang knew the issue would get larger as Min Hui would complain to the high heavens.
Min Hui was a success and was feted by the audience for her innovative AI concept.
There was a reception after the symposium. Min Hui wore a beautiful evening dress gifted to her Xin Qi. She then arrived at the party with little Quan Quan in his mini-suit.
Lin Xi Yue was green with envy as Min Hui was really stunning in her white dress. Min Hui was the centre of attention.
When Cheng Qi Rang tactlessly said why could she not be as scintillating as Min Hui, Lin Xi Yue became so irate that she was going to do everything to embarrass Min Hui.
She had her chance when she saw Quan Quan helping himself alone at the buffet as Min Hui was busy with her admirers.
Quan Quan was a sensible boy and started screaming when Lin Xi Yue tried to drag him away from the buffet.
Min Hui noticed the commotion and went to Quan Quan.
By this time, Xin Qi arrived with Cindy. They heard Lin Xi Yue telling everyone that Quan Quan was a son of Min Hui who is a single parent. That Quan Quan has no father.
Min Hui said that she can look after Quan Quan well just by herself.
But then Xin Qi finally spoke and took Quan Quan. He announced that Quan Quan is not fatherless. Quan Quan is his son.
He then told Min Hui to leave with him as it was Quan Quan’s bedtime.
Cheng Qi Rong was so shocked but not as surprised as Lin Xi Yue who was thwarted once again.
Finally, they were a happy family but it did not last long because suddenly the usually gentle Chen Jia Jun turned up to tell them that he was Si Tuan’s long-lost brother. He blames Min Hui for killing his sister to have Xin Qi to herself.
