I’m getting quite good at cooking. hehehe
Tonight I cooked Scotch eggs; I followed the recipe I found online and it did work like a treat.
It was actually very easy to do and quite fun too.
I ate it hot but it could be eaten cold with a nice serving of salad.
Below are the photos of my effort:
Scotch Eggs Recipe
ingredients:
1/2 packet of Sausage meat (freeze the rest to see another day 😉 or make some stuffing balls with it)
4 boiled eggs, peeled
Breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
nutmeg
thyme
Salt and pepper
Method of preparation:
Cut the sausage meat in four slices, flatten it over a cling film.
Put one of the boiled eggs in the middle.
Now gather the corners of the cling film, completely enclosing the boiled egg. The end product should resemble a ball.
Dip the ball into beaten egg.
And again dip it in breadcrumbs mixed with the salt & pepper, nutmeg and thyme.
Do this with the rest of the egg&sausage balls.
Spritz with some oil before they go to the oven for 20 minutes at 180C.
Enjoy with some salad or a turmeric rice. Better yet have some salad and rice.
Don’t forget the tomato ketchup!
Cheers! Have a happy cooking time and a happier eating time.
