Art of Tattooing

The word and the art of Tattoo came from a Tahitian religious custom called “tatu”.

Apparently sailors adopted the body art in order that their bodies may be identified in case they got gruesomely killed in a fight or a shipwreck, thus, ensuring a proper Christian burial.

There was also a time in history that convicts are tattooed to denote of their time in jail.

But tattoo has become a normal sight nowadays, especially on celebrities in films and music industry.

The most beautiful lady in Hollywood (in my opinion), Angelina Jolie-Pitt sports tattoos denoting longitudinal reminders of where her children were born.

The beautiful British pop singer Cheryl Tweedy has the biggest tattoo that I have ever seen.  Her body art covers her lower back and bottoms.  Apparently, this tattoo took months to ink and costing a fortune.  She had it done as a reminder that life is short and to go for things that make you happy and a huge English Rose tattoo does it for her.

David Beckham is another fan of tattoos.
