Truman Capote
I saw the film Capote a couple of months ago starring Philip Seymour Hoffman in the role of Truman Capote. The film centred on Capote whilst researching for his book In Cold Blood, which is about a murder of a Kansas family. Truman developed some sort of connection with one of the killers.
I wanted to find out how the real Capote sounded so I youtubed him. It was rather surreal, Philip Seymour Hoffman sounded so much like him. No wonder he won a Best actor for his role.
The real Truman Capote was very clever, very erudite. He also penned one of my favourite films of all times, Breakfast at Tiffany’s starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard.
