Plutarch
– was a Greek historian, biographer and essayist. His name was Plutarkhos in Koine Greek but upon becoming a Roman citizen, he was renamed as Lucius Mestrius Plutarchus or Plutarch in short.
Plutarch lived in c. AD 46 – AD 120 and was known mainly for his works: Parallel Lives and Moralia.
