This is a wonderful proverb.  Sometimes we are given or faced with an opportunity and yet we do not grab it at once. We even try to convince ourselves that it was not for us. We take our time until the moment is lost.  So if the door is open, go in!  Unless there is a do not enter sign or there is a reasonable reason that trespassers are not allowed in!
