Dr Who’s Christmas Special is always being waited with baited breath in our household.
Christmas seems incomplete without Dr Who. I am afraid The Queen Speech is not enough for a merry Christmas. Dr Who should be a part Christmas program for a truly glad tiding.
With the Dr, A dalek, a cyberman or the Ice Warriors of Mars are an added bonus. And when The Master makes his seldom appearance, then we are in for a jolly and exciting ride.

Fast forward Christmas 2014…..
I have to admit that Peter Capaldi’s Dr Who had been more of a miss rather than a hit. It was not Peter Capaldi’s fault at all. He is an excellent actor and would really make a good Dr Who if given a good script.
I say bring back Russell T Davies.
The series with Peter Capaldi has not been about the Doctor but about Clara Oswald, the Doctor’s companion.
Clara’s lovelife was done to maximum boring overdrive. It was like selfie and Facebook entries of Clara Oswald coming to life: what she did, where she went, what she ate, who she was going out with, what was she wearing, etc, etc, booooooorrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnggggg!
Anyway last night Peter, not the Capaldi but the hubby, and I sat down to enjoy the rumoured demise of Clara Oswald.
At last!!!
As usual, the whole story revolved around Clara Oswald. Tralalala and bloody la la.
There were a few teases that Clara will be gone before 2014 Christmas was over.
But Nooooo
Clara lived…… and lived for another series.
Why, oh why?
Why Dr Who creator do you do this?
I am sure you’ve heard the feedbacks by fans that the Clara Osward character is the least popular amongst the companions of the Doctor?
Why sabotage the chance of Peter Capaldi leaving a lasting impression as one of the greatest Dr Whos? Instead he is in a role reversal as the companion to the irritating Clara Oswald.
Bring back Russell T Davies and save the Doctor!
