March winds and April showers
Bring forth May flowers.
– English Proverb
What I most look forward to in spring?
Definitely the flowers! Spring is when everything comes to life. It brings colours and texture to the environment as well as sounds from the birds and scents from blooming flowers from high up on trees, from tall shrubs and from the rock garden/pond plants on foot level.
Below are some flowers we spied during walkabout and promenading in the much awaited spring sunshine!
I am researching their names and it would probably take time to label them all (if at all – but I shall try my very best, bearing in mind that I am just a postulant gardener) 😉
It is turning to be a glorious spring. Lots of sunny spells and warmish weather!
Spring is the Period
Express from God.
Among other seasons
Himself abide.
But during March and April
None stir abroad
Without a cordial interview
With God.
– Emily Dickinson (1864)

Those who know quiet, alone, are as carefree as the flowers in the breeze, as pure as the snow in the moonlight.
