Chicken & Lamb Barbecue – Iranian Recipe

Saturday, last weekend, was a lovely hot early summer’s day.  We were in the garden most of the day, too soporific to do much than sit on the garden chair, read and pay homage to the sun with our suitably sun-screened faces, arms and legs.  It was a truly lazy day.  Just right to chill away the humdrum of the past working weekdays. 😉

To our pleasure and pleasant surprise, our lovely friendly Middle Eastern neighbours very kindly sent us a plateful of barbecued chicken and lamb with thinly sliced spicy potatoes over a pitta bread.

It was very delicious. Everything complimented each other.

They were all home-made. Our neighbour’s wife is a very accomplished cook and she bakes the most scrumptious softest, creamiest cakes which are a treat.
