Paper Anniversary
Peter and I have two wedding anniversaries. One in November celebrating our church wedding 27 years ago and this one in June, commemorating our Registry office wedding two years ago. They are both genuine weddings and we have two marriage contracts to show for it.
I love these anniversaries, I get to have two gifts.
Peter and I have decided once again to dine at home and cook for ourselves, like the one in November last year. It was more personal and also being a Monday, a workday, we could chill and take our time more at home.
Below are the photos we took while we were preparing the food.
We thought as it was a special occasion, we have to have a selfie as well. LOL
The second anniversary traditions:
Gifts could be anyone of cotton, paper or china.
Flower: Lily of the Valley
Gemstone: Garnet (wow, my birthstone)

We really enjoyed preparing our meal. We had mini leche flans and puto, two of Peter’s favourite Filipino sweets. The mini leche flans and puto actually worked well together and surprisingly very easy to make. I would certainly make them again, not just for myself but more from special request from Peter.
Peter also said that he particularly enjoyed the pork in black bean sauce. If I say so myself, it was actually quite good. ;). For celebrations more to come, we ensured that we also have noodles. The long strands of the noodles mean, long life, long lasting.
As to the gift, Peter got me a book on 101 gardening tips which I love. Well done to him, he really research our second anniversary. He got the “paper” right. He knows me so well. He knows what I like, he knows my reading habit. I got him a tin drink canteen.;)
Of course we also exchanged anniversary cards. We were so pleased with ourself that in a moment of madness we indulged in a bit of SELFIE.
Happy Anniversary, Peter. More, more, more, more years together!
