Zantedeschia Aethiopica (Arum Lily)

This arum lily is a bold specimen.  It is a majestic addition to any garden, certainly a talking point for passers-by seeing it in your front garden.

This is a rather tender plant which should be protected from frost.  But having said that this plant will thrive in any garden.  The crown should be planted deep to keep it safe from ice, snow and frost.

It should be planted in moist, rich soil.

The arrowhead leaves are beautiful as a complement to early spring flowering borders.  The elegant white velvety spathe curled on a yellow spadix is elegantly and proudly upright.

If plenty of them are planted in the garden, some of the blooms can be cut and make beautiful table flower arrangement.
