KFC Colonel’s Club Card Review
The idea for a Colonel’s club for deep fried chicken lovers, such as I, was just brilliant.
At last my devotion and patronage to the Colonel Sanders “finger lickin’ good” chicken are recognised and validated. 🙂 🙂 🙂 I am now in the Colonnel’s club. yehey.
But so far, I find that being a member is not what it is all cracked up to be.
To date, I don’t appear to be getting the full membership benefit at the Golders Green branch of KFC.
For the last two visits I made this month alone, claiming the free coffee upon presentation of the Colonel’s club card was more trouble than it’s worth.
It was such a palaver. I ordered a KFC family meal and a free coffee, through the Colonel’s club card. The cash machine/card reader stated that I was entitled to a free coffee but it spewed receipt billing me for it. It took three customer service clerks came to look at what was happening but they did not really know what to make of it. However on principle, I am not willing to pay for a coffee that is supposed to be free despite the embarrassment from annoyed customers waiting for their turn.
As I was not budging, in the end they had to give me the coffee after consultation with their higher management. 🙁
Today, I presented the same card at the same branch of KFC in Golders Green. They said their machine is offline so sorry for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed but what can I do?
As I was waiting for my order to arrive, another customer was having a little contretemps with the KFC customer service clerk. She was waving her smartphone to the clerk showing the mobile apps for her free chicken wings but wasn’t getting it as the cash machine said ‘NO’. The irate customer said, “Forget it, keep your blood chicken wings!!!”
I think the Colonel should retrain his foot soldiers on how the club works. It is disappointing for us members; it feels like we are not fully assimilated into the glory of Colonel Sander’s club. What is the point of it then?!!!
