My Amazing Boyfriend (Chinese Drama Review & Summary)
I heard that season two for My Amazing Boyfriend is going to be shown soon.
I remember of thoroughly enjoying the first season but I have to rewatch this again just to capture the ‘kilig’ factor of it. It was really so kawaii that I had binge-watched the whole 28 episodes in no time at all.
What is it all about?
It is a love story between a celebrity girl who accidentally woke up a dormant alien.
She had no choice but to share her beautiful airy house with him.
In return he protected her.
There was a rather sad ending or rather a hanging ending as the alien went away in the end, thus a need for a season two for a proper closure.
Episode 1
Janice Wu, the lead actress is so likable. Anyway, she plays Tian Jingzhi, a budding actress who was dating a cop, who she proposed to but she got absolutely humiliated when he turned her down in front of an audience, he did not know was there.
He told her that he can’t accept her as he was really in love with someone else. That someone else was her friend who already stole her previous six boyfriends.
Feeling low and upset, Tian was thinking of jumping off a building but changed her mind when the security guard had a talk with her.
She drove her car but got distracted by the rose petals she prepared for her proposal that her car rolled into a van containing the body of a well-preserved corpse found in the bottom of the sea.
The collision had Tian Jiangzhi thrown off her car into the road with her blood oozing into the corpse, which also fell from the coffin into the road as well.
The corpse was that of a 400 years old immortal, who was drained off his blood and sank into the bottom of the sea by his assailant.
The corpse had now turned into a lanky gorgeous young man, who gave the unconscious Tian Jiangzhi the kiss of life.
Tian Jiangzhi was in the hospital for a couple of months, despite being perfectly well to go home.
Somehow she started hearing and feeling her strong heartbeat and then will see an apparition of a young man, which gave her the spooks.
At last, the hospital had forced her to go home, and a good thing too because her cards were maxed to the limit.
She stayed with her mom and dad at first, who are really sweet parents. Her mother asked why she was dumped again?
Tian Jiangzhi was so annoyed her mother for not telling her that someone stole her first kiss. Her mother asked, “first kiss?” You had seven boyfriends!
Tian Jiangzhi is a conservative girl. It takes three months of dating to hold her hand, and six months to kiss. 🙂
Her ex-cop boyfriend came to apologise to her but she said as he said they just have to be like brothers and sisters and she doesn’t want to see him anymore.
Her 6th boyfriend also came to see her. He is a young scientist, who wanted to know if she noticed anything during the crash. She got frightened when she saw the photo of the corpse.
The immortal, Xue Lingqiao, had been stalking Tian Jiangshi.
Episode 2
Tian Jiangzhi overspent on her credit cards so she decided to rent out a room in her house.
There were many applicants but Lingqiao forced himself into her house. Before she really know what hit her, she had agreed to allow him to move in.
She is now doing everything for him to move out.
Episode 3
There is a mystery why 7th boyfriend broke up with Tian Jiangzhi. He clearly loves her and she loves him.
7th boyfriend with 6th boyfriend is puzzling it out how Tian Jiangzhi survived after losing a flood of blood.
LingQiao was recounting to Tian Jiangzhi how became immortal. It apparently 400 years ago. He is human, not an alien. He was hunting one day when a leopard bit him.
The leopard as a ferocious hunter is full of venom, which went directly into Lingqiao’s body.
Medical doctors were shaking their heads. They cannot cure the young master.
A final doctor came and started bleeding the comatose young master. He woke up but cannot eat solids ever since. Their family became a subject of so much gossips that Lingqiao decided to leave and travel and he had been traveling for 400 or so years until he was bled and ‘kill’ by an unknown person.
