1. A Love So Beautiful is based on a novel written by Zhao Gan Gan
2. The novel it was based on is called Our Pure Little Beauty.  To read the English translated version, click here for the page showing the link.
3. There are 23 episodes, each lasting less than an hour.  There is a bonus episode, which is the 24th.
4. We suggest that you watch episode 24 first as it is a prologue to the drama.
5. When Chen Xiao Xi said “I like You!” to Jiang Chen, he replied, “I don’t like you!” (Episode 1)
6. What did Xiao Xi do after her confession was snubbed by Jiang Chen?  Xiao Xi researched the internet on how to attract a boy.  She did not give up.
7. Novel and tv drama difference No 1:  In the drama, Jiang Chen’s father had passed away when he was seven years old.  In the novel, he was very much alive.
8. Novel and tv drama difference No 2: Jiang Chen has a brother in the drama but he was a lone, neglected child in the novel.
9. Jiang Chen was offered the class monitor position but he turned it down point blank.  Xiao Xi tried her luck and proposed herself to be a candidate.
10. She practised her  speech with Wo Bu Song.  (Jiang Chen confessed during episode 23 that he was raging and jealous about this)  And this was the reason he voted for Liwei rather than going for Xiao Xi
11. Jiang Chen did not vote for Xiao Xi to be class monitor.  Xiao Xi was so annoyed she kicked Jiang Chen in the shin.  Ouch!!!
12. Li Wei became the class monitor, which gave her license to approach Jiang Chen for help time and again much to Xiao Xi chagrin.
13. Xiao Xi participated in the hurdle during sports day to win a watch.  (The watch was meant as a present for Jiang Chen)
14. Bu Song, wearing a mascot outfit run and encouraged Xiao Xi  to the finish line.
15. Xiao Xi won the race and got the price watch but it was a lady’s watch.
16. Xiao Xi wanted Jiang Chen to be in her team and play the role of Erkang during a drama project.
17. In Episode 6, Xiao Xi would have transferred to a stricter school as wanted by her parents, but Jiang Chen convinced her to remain in their school.  She promised her parents that she will improve her class standing by being on the top 15.  It was thought impossible by everyone but Jiang Chen tutored her. She was on the top 13 in the end.
18. Jiang Chen became a doctor, Xiao Xi became a manhua artist, Wu Bo Song is now an Olympic swimmer as well as sportswear model millionaire, LIn Jing Xiao is a scientist/astronomer and Lu Yang is a prosperous gamer.
