Synopsis:
A fifteen years old child kidnapping is central to the goings on in a prosecutor office.
This drama is very taut, full of twist and turn.
It raised some questions about integrity, what is right and what is wrong and the grey areas in between.
It also tells that life is really unfair. The rich, powerful and those with a good connection can literally get away with murder.
There is one rule for them and one for the poor.
Yes, I highly recommend this drama; it is a riveting watch for a lazy weekend.
The actors did a very good job.
Anyway, the story is about two boys of roughly the same age and wearing almost identical jackets who met each other one day under a fraught situation.
One of the boys was a brother of the lead girl, Han Yeol Moo.
The brother, Han Beol follows, was very close to Han Yeol Moo because she had became a parent to her sibling as their parents work all hours to make ends meet.
Han Beol follows her everywhere, including when she was on her way to school. As they were at the bus stop, she told him that he had to go back as he can’t tag along with her to the school. She told him to go back.
Her six-years-old brother got lost going back and saw another boy at the backseat of a police car. He begged the boy to show him the way to his home.
Unfortunately, the boy was Seo Tae Won, who was already marked for elimination. He was a witness to his mother being run over by a couple of powerful prosecutors. So both boys ended up both kidnapped and hidden in a warehouse.
A seventeen years old Go Dong Chil was brilliant academically. He went to the warehouse, where his father was the security guard, to show him his report card but his father was nowhere to be found. He found instead a man who ripped his report guard in half and rough him up a bit as well. He went to pick the pieces of his report card but he could only find the half.
He then noticed a very frightened child asking for his help.
What can he do? He helped of course. He hit the man with a steel tubing around the head and run carried the boy out.
As to the fate of the other boy, he had died as there was a fire at the warehouse.
About 15 years later, Go Dong Chil is a maverick prosecutor and Han Yeol Moo is a trainee prosecutor working under him.
Now they are uncovering the corruption and old-boy-network among the senior prosecutors and member of the government.
