This drama is based on a film starring Kris Wu.  The film had a crappy ending but if you search on Youtube another ending for the film, about 14 minutes long, can be found and it was a happy one.

Episode 1

I have to say, I have not seen any of Elvis Han’s work before but isn’t he fit?!!!  Anyway, I like the beginning episode.  The younger selves of the characters are super-imposed in the modern day life, which made the younger days the more sweeter and the modern time the more intriguing.

Anyway, Yun Jin is now a very able office director and can take everything under her stride including a jealous wife of her boss, who was barking up the work tree.

It seemed that she got it on with Cheng Zheng but somehow they broke up.  But he is back, stalking her and he is a high-powered businessman.

They first met in high school.  Though they belonged to the same school, it was when she was putting books on shelves that he fell in love with her.

Yun Jin comes from a poor family, her father was bedridden.  With his incessant cough, it was hard for Jin to study.

She set her heart into studying science but her grade is atrocious.  As she had promised her father that she will study science, she was trying her hardest to study for it despite her homeroom teacher telling her that she was not suitable for science.

It was luck that she found a part-time job in a bookshop which enabled her to find time to study and get away from the worried from home.

At present time, her old schoolmates are getting married and she had been invited.

Episode 2

Cheng Zheng seemed to show his feelings for her by insulting her, calling her stupid when they were still in high school.  But at the same time, he was so attentive towards her.

In the end, she asked him if he could tutor her in math.

She went to the wedding with her best friend from high school, who is now a doctor.  She was expecting to see Cheng Zheng but he was no show.

Episode 3

Cheng Zheng has taken Su Yunjin under his wing.  He helps her in everything, especially with math.

They were now in last year of high school, preparing for the big exam.

Cheng Zheng had asked Su Yujin to study with him in Beijing.

In this episode, Su Yunjin terminally ill father passed away.

Episode 4

High school is over.

They went to a karaoke bar to celebrate being free from high school.  The usually anti-social Yunjin even agreed to come along.

While at the bar, Mo Yo Hua took courage to confess to a boy she liked for ages.  It was Zi Yi, who said they would be better as friends.  He was also going abroad to study.

Zi Yi then came back alone to the karaoke booth as if nothing happened but Yunjin knew that Yo Hua had planned to confess.

She found Yo Hua in the toilet crying her eyes out.

Yo Hua told her that she wanted to be alone.

Yunjin had little interest in Karaoke and had gone with Yo Hua.

Cheng Zheng, however, stayed with her and patiently and quietly walking her home in the rain.

Yunjin then games him a hug and told him that she cannot fulfill his wish of her going to Beijing with him.  She wanted to stay near her mother so she will stay in Shanghai instead.
