(I understand this and there had been plenty of instances when I would think this way. This is really what you call lip service. Just spout things that you know your listeners wanted to hear though you do not really mean it, It is a way of surviving tricky situations and prevent hurting others or yourself, especially at work. A little white lie won’t do any harm, eh?!!!)
