Quick Precis:
This is a story about five women who forged a friendship when they were in college.
After graduation, they all stayed in Beijing to tackle what life is to offer in terms of work, career and relationship.
Episode 1
It is the start of the next semester.
Xiang Zhen was looking through a pair of binoculars the incoming new students to their university. She suddenly spotted a tall gorgeous young man who seemed to have a good time chatting and helping a couple of girls with their suitcases.
Zhen did not waste time, she took off and hurriedly navigated the throng of students to get to the tall gorgeous boy.
She claimed him as her boyfriend and told the girls to sort out their own suitcases.
The boy was happy to see her and proudly showed her his certificate in science.
Meanwhile, Zhen’s dormmates, Bei Bei and Ding Lan decided to have a walk around the campus as well.
A swarthy boy who is not exactly ugly but by no means handsome showed his interest to Bei Bei, who remained aloof as she fancied someone else.
The boy gave them tickets to a show, which the three girls attended. During the show, the boy, Jin Xin sang a song confessing his love for Bei Bei.
Bei Bei was forced to come up the stage to reply to JIn Xin. I am afraid she humiliated him.
For some reason, this embarrassing event did not cool Jin Xin’s ardor. He continued to pursue BeiBei until Zhen advised him to give up or have plastic surgery. (Mean:) )
Ding Lan is always first in their class/year. She went to her professor to request to see the result of the finals fo the last semester.
The professor said that it was not a good result for her.
Ding Lan was flabbergasted to find out that she had moved down to number two.
The top spot had been taken by Gou Uiam.
Ding Lan was so annoyed that she went to speak to Gou Yuan.
After he had apologised to her, he told her that he wanted her to be his girlfriend.
And they did after a the briefest of courtship.
Gou Yuan confessed to her that he studied so well to be able for her to notice him. Ahhhhh
Zheng Shuang looked like a little girl in a swimsuit. She looks good though. I am loving her.
Epidose 2
Zhen broke up with Zhao because he does not support her ambition to start a business instead of going to graduate school.
Zhao kept telling her that he wanted to be married to a doctor (PHD) but Zhen had made up her mind to start a business together with Yu Hui, who is a roommate and a successful writer.
The only thing that is stopping her was a lack of fund to put in into the business. She needs 60K.
Ding Lan almost broke up with Guo Yuan because Guo Yuan received a certificate from Germany allowing him to study philisophy.
Ding Lan was frustrated thinking that she will not realised her ambition to study in Germany.
Becasue of this, she punished Guo Yuan. He somehow loves her so much that he refused to leave her side.
Ding Lan later was told by Zhen that she got a letter addressed to Ding Lan. It turned out that it was the certificate.
Miraculously she was in love with Gou Yuan once again.
Bei Bei, on the other hand, has a new admirer. It was Chen Yan, who helped her locate her missing necklace. She asked him what reward he wanted.
Chen Yan mentioned that he was three wishes and she can choose one to fulfill.
The wishes are: He will kiss her, she kisses him or they kiss each other.
Bei Bei said to him to FO. But he was handsome with a great body and very persevering. In the end, she agreed to be his girlfriend.
