Setsu and her friends Kyoko and Mika were flight attendants. But Setsu had handed in her papers as she was preparing to marry her boyfriend.
On the day of her dinner date with her boyfriend, he did not turn up. Instead, it was a woman who was eight months pregnant who showed up.
Her parents found out about this latest.
Apparently, Setsu has a history of her boyfriends leaving her for their pregnant other women.
So her mother said that at 24 and currently not gainfully employed she should just get married. She will arrange for her to go on blind dates.
Setsu won’t agree thinking that the idea is so old fashion.
But her mother was persistent. She bribes her daughter with a new Hermes bag, Cartier watch and designer clothes.
Next scene, Setsu is seating against her blind date wearing her designer clothes, Hermes and Cartier watch, watched by her parents and the boss of her blind date and marriage broker.
