Started watching this today.  Wow, it starts two of my favourite Chinese leading ladies, Guan Xiaotong and Ju Jingyi.

I have watched two episodes already and I am loving it so far.

Episode 1 & 2

As I understand from the blurb, a mystical sword that the demons shattered in half.  From each of the half, a spirit was born.  They were Zhaoyun and Muyun.

Because of continued battle in ancient time, the brothers got separated.

Zhaoyun was taken in by the Flying Feathers of Yao Han while Muyun grew up under the Bronze Bird Army of Xiao Yue.

Both Zhao Yuan and Muyun are now grown up and were not aware of their being siblings.

In fact, their opposing factions are mortal enemies.

Zhaoyun was tasked to fetch Yeyazi, a young girl who was the only one now to know where the food provisions were.

Yeyazi got annoyed because Zhaoyun seemed bent in continuing with the war.

No matter how they asked Yeyazi for the whereabouts of the food, she refuses to say.

Along the way, they met the enigmatic White robe Muyun who was so powerful with his Xuan sword that its evil spirit sometimes overtakes him.

So much so that he tried to kill Yeyazi with his sword but her jade absorbed the spirit of Lan Yin, who had been captured within the sword.

Lan Yi was Muyun’s mute beloved girlfriend who sacrificed herself for him so that the Xuan sword does not turn him completely evil.

Suddenly he can see Lan Yi momentarily, he was not sure whether it was a hallucination.

Muyan was going to stab Zhao Yuan with the sword when Yeyazi stood in front of him.  He stopped because Yeyazi suddenly looked like Lan Yi and she used a sign language familiar to them both.

He was so confused Muyan left.

Yeyazi was taken by Zhaoyuan to the barracks.  She noticed immediately that the soldiers were all starving, subsisting only on water boiled with few leaves.

Still, she refuses to divulge where the food was.  She reckons that if the army is fully fed once again, they would go into battle and kill.

Duan Meng is a super warrior of the flying squad and as such was rather brutal.  She was about to kill Yeyazi when Zhaoyuan appeared and told her to go ahead, then they would definitely not know where the food was.

Hengai was some sort of immortal can do all sort of cultivation but she was beginning to fall for Zhao Yuan, which is detrimental to her immortality.

She will vanish if she falls in love.

The flying squad received information about the location of their enemy.  They decided to create mayhem with them by burning their food granary.

When they get there, they quickly found out that they had been set up.

Episode 3

This drama is an exciting find. Ye Feng was punished for the failed mission.  This mission had a bad consequence to his best friend Qiangwu.  Ye Feng had to cut Qiangwu’s arm, otherwise the poison will go to the rest of his body and kill him.

Qiangwu was suicidal afterward because he reckons that his career as a soldier is over with just one arm.

He did change his mind later when he found out that Ye Feng was beaten badly as a punishment.  Even Yeyaxi was bothered that she changed her mind and allowed the troop to see that she was the food source.

With her grains, jade, and incantation, she managed to grow and ripen rice or wheat, more than enough supply for the army.

This was found out by the purple robe.  White robe volunteered to go kill Yeyaxi because it was his fault for letting her go.

White Robe was about to kill who he thought was Yeyaxi but it turned out it was Duan Meng who led him to the circle where the rest of the troop were waiting including Yan Feng.

They got him and Hengai tried to trap him inside the demon pot.  Unfortunately, Yan Feng sharing the same bloodline was also engulfed by the demon pot.

Episode 4

It took the help of Yeyaxi to save Yan Feng from the demon pot.  He came out stronger and brought out the power of the second Xuan sword into the world.

White Robe was left inside the demon pot but he was not too unhappy as Lan Yin had appeared before him.  Awww
