Quick Precis
Having witnessed her older sister’s unhappy marriage, Fu Rong runs away from her forthcoming wedding. She ended up in the city where she met all sorts of adventure with Xu Jin.
Excited! I love them together in Legend of Yunxi. I hope this new drama has a better and clear ending and not as ambiguous as Legend of Yunxi.
I can’t wait to see the drama as well as the behind the scenes. Their previous one was just hilarious. It still makes me giggle when I see them in youtube.
Episode 1
Fu Rong dotes on her cute little brother. Her brother insisted that she get his kite which was stuck on a branch of a tree. She was about to untangle the kite from the branches when her father scolded to come down. She was so surprised she fell and was unconscious for a day.
Her beloved older sister looked after her especially when she felt very concerned when the Star Tower was struck by a lightning.
She was having a feeling of deja vu.

Episode 5
Qi Ce was arrested for the attempted murder of Duke Su.
Fu Rong asked the duke if he could spare Qi Zhe and her mother as they were innocent of Qi Ce’s crime.
Qi Zhe, sister of Qi Ce, was best friends with both Fu Rong and Fu Xian.
Fu Xian asked her parents to look after the innocent Qi Zhe, whose engagement had been broken because of her brother’s treason.
Qi Zhe asked Fu Rong to help her see her brother in prison.
Qi Ce poisoned Qi Zhe’s mind saying that all their troubles stemmed from Fu Rong and Fu Xian’s doing. The Fu family had patronised them and now the sisters were instrumental in having him arrested.
Qi Ce was a lovable innocent and rather a naive girl. She quickly believed her brother. Her stress level had gone up the roof when she got home to find her mother was dying.
She told Fu Rong that never want to see her again.
Meanwhile, the Emperor was quite proud of Duke Su. He told the duke to go see his birth mother.
I must say his birth mother is so young they could be siblings. The duchess was excited to see Xu Jin. She invited him to have lunch with her and his brother who had turned up.
Xu Jin declined which annoyed his brother who said that their mother was so excited that he was coming home and had tea imported from India (?) and she had asked the chef to bake almond biscuit every day as they were Xu Jin’s favourite. And now he could not even stay for lunch.
The duchess pacified her younger son saying that duties were more important.
Episode 6
Consort Duan happened to pass by a grieving Qi Zhu, praying fervently for her the well being of her brother in prison.
Consort Duan was so moved by the sincerity of Qi Zhu that there and then she said that though she can’t save her brother from his imprisonment, she could save and help Qi Zhu.
She made Qi Zhu a Princess Consort of Qingping, to marry Prince Cheng.
When Qi Ce heard of this development, he was satisfied that his sister will be looked after so he killed himself.
Meanwhile Cui Wan, the Princess of Xihe was making a nuisance of herself. She was demanding to see Duke Su, who she said was her childhood sweetheart.
No one really believed her because everyone knows that the Emperor was raging when the Empress died which coincided with Xu Jin accidentally set a temple library on fire. It was really a minute fire, there was hardly any damage but he became the object to whom the Emperor could vent his rage and sadness.
So at the age of twelve Xu Jin was sent to the frontier to train as a soldier under the tutelage of General Dou Yan.
Episode 7
The love triangle is beginning to form.
Master Ju Shui asked Fu Rong to remove his mask. Ju Shui had revealed himself to his childhood friend, Nong Nong (Fu Rong).
He thought that Fu Rong would be upset but she was chill about it. She was glad to see ‘Little Follower’ again. In fact, she said now she could boast that the matinee idol of the kingdom, Master Ju Shui is her childhood friend Xu Ping.
Lui Ru Yi had been arrested because she created an ornament in the shape of a peony for Consort Shu who got upset because she hated peony.
The flower reminded her when her son, Xu Jin was forcefully taken from her to be looked after by the then Empress.
Fu Rong and Fu Xian were doing everything to get Liu Ruyi out of prison.
Fu Rong designed another hairpin for Consort Shu but she wanted to make it extra special so she went to the mountains to find an herb to remove the smell of steel from the hairpin.
She can’t find the herbal field but Xu Ping turned up to show her the field.
Fu Rong happened to mention that Duke Su had told her that he was knocked a candle in a temple when he was young.
Xu Ping thought that the candle caused the fire which killed his mother, the Empress Dowager.
