Episode 1

Ladies including Wen Ren Jing were traveling to the Capital when they were ambushed by bandits.

The bandits’ leader quickly overcome the more sophisticated arsenal of weapons of the soldiers guarding and escorting the misses.

The leader was a bearded Dong Shanjun who took the girls as hostages.

He went to the cell where he kept the girls lock.  He originally chose the pretty sister of Wen Ren Jing, who was so petrified.

She can’t bear to see her beloved sister so frightened so she put herself forward to entertain the leader.

She then found out that Shanjun was far from being illiterate.  He was actually quite impressive with a great literary mind.  They recited poems and told stories.

Shanjun then told her to stay the night in his manor as it would be more comfortable for her as she can sleep in soft bed and soft pillow.

When she returned the next morning to the cell, the other girls treated her abominably for thinking that she ‘sold’ her body.

She was so annoyed with them that she said they had to apologise first before they could eat the cakes and cookies she brought with her;

Their bitching was interrupted by the arrival of their relatives ready to pay ransoms towards their release.

Shanjun though was not interested with money.  He wanted the men to fight with him in all aspects of their expertise at the same time.

They laughed at him thinking that he was ignorant.

But Shanjun and his men had the last laugh!

Shanjun was able to prevail in everything and more.  He was better than all of the study of the prestigious academy who turned up in his hideout.

Episode 2

Though Shanjun prevailed in every aspect of the contest, he allowed the relatives to take the hostage girls.  But each of the men should only take one girl.

The two who were left were the sisters Ren Shu and Ren Juan.

Shanjun said that since no one was there for them he might as well have fun with one of them.  He chose Ren Ju.

Ren Juan begged to take her instead because her sister is pure and delicate.

Shanjun though stuck to his decision and took Ren Shu, who he found out was very selfish and despite her sister’s devotion to her, she really doesn’t much care for Ren Juan.

Ren Shu told Shanjun not to touch her because she will ask her father to give Shanjun Ah Jun instead.

Brother Sun came to their rescue but he could only take one girl.

Shanjun said that he had spent the night with one of them.

Ren Shu immediately implied that it was Ah Jun who had been molested.

Brother Sun was rather partial towards Ah Jun, she was the reason he came to the rescue.  But as soon as he heard that Ah Jun was a fallen woman, he chose Ren Shu immediately.

Poor Ah Jun was so upset.  Her father did not come for her and her Brother Sun chose her sister.

She was standing at the edge of the cliff seeming to jump. She changed her mind but it was too late she was falling when a hand reached towards her.

She was saved Qiuchu who told her that she was now a citizen of Dongyi Mountain and she belongs to him so can’t die.

She did not die but he almost did when she held on him too hard he fell hitting his head on a rock.

Ah Jun is a very strong girl.  She carried him on her back to his manor.

He told her that of his beginning.

He was a poor boy who came to the capital to try of the examination to enter the college but instead he was severely bullied and his beloved pet monkey was killed by the sniggering students.  He was going back to his hometown when he became a target practise for someone who was wearing a yellow jade waist token.

He barely got away with his life and when he got home he found his mother had died.

Episode 3

His sad backstory completely beguiled Ah Jun.  She had fallen for him. And it seems mutual because he said to her that she is his new wife.

Bro Sun had asked that famed General Hang to help him rescue Ah Jun.

General Hang refused when he found out that they had to go to Dongyi Mountain, which is protected by an edict by the Emperor.

But Bro Sun told General Hang that it was payback time.  His ancestor had helped General Hang, who promised to do whatever he can when required one day.

So against his better judgment, General Hang agreed to go with Bro Sun not a general of the army but just himself.

Meanwhile, it was the flower festival at Dongyi Mountain.  It was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony.

Ah Jun later heard from ordinary folks that Dong Shanjun is a bit of a saint, a hero.  He was Robinhood. He robs the rich to give to the poor.

He stopped the original bandits from targeting ordinary people. And since then, the people lived a peaceful life.

Ah Jun and Shanjun were having a nice romantic time flying from roof to roof, she got reminded that she confessed to him when she was drunk a few hours ago.

These leads are one of the most adorable in idol dramas.  Their chemistry is so cute.  You are left rooting for them.

Shanjun noticed that his cottage was on fire.

Bro Fu and Gen Hang and soldiers are massacring everyone in sight at the mountain.  It did not get better because when Shanjun arrived, though he put up a good fight, he ended up falling in a ravine, presumed dead.

Poor Ah Jun.  She was heartbroken.

Episode 4

General Hang was so guilt-ridden, he confessed to the boy emperor of his wrongdoing of going privately and attacking Dongyi Mountain.

Anyway, life had to go on. And Ah Jun is back at the academy.  Though she is gossiped about, she did not really care.

Bro Fu is back from being her adoring brother, which is making her sister envious.

It was announced that a new boy is entering the academy.  He is from a poor background but topped the exam given to more than a thousand poor potential students.

Episode 5

The boy was Dong Shanjun who now goes by the name Qiu Chi.

Even at the start of school Qiu Chi and Bro Fu fought over Ah Jun and they warned each other to stay away from Ah Jun.

Qiu Chi started to investigate Bro Fu because of the jade waist token.

He went into Bro Fu’s room and what he found was a stash of love letters he wrote to Ah Jun but never sent.

He did though asked Qiu Chi to marry him but she found it weird as they grew up together.

Meanwhile, Mother Wen arranged a blind date for Ah Jun but when Li Gonzi, the blind date turned up, he fell in love at first sight with Ren Shu.

Zhao Qinghe had such a crush on General Hang, who had been demoted to work in the academy and a roommate of Qiu Chi.

She wanted to give him a present but she does not know what could she give him.  Fortunately, she saw him eyeing an antique dagger but walked away from it because it was so expensive.

Zhao Qinghe made a deal with the vendor to sell the dagger to Gen Hang while she makes out the difference.

Zhao Qinghe accidentally dropped her waist token into the box containing the dagger.

Episode 6

Zhao Qinghe asked Ah Jun to sneaked into General Hang’s room to take the token before he notices.  But it was not as easy as it looks because several boys were trying to prank Qiu Chi. And then there were two other two curious school girls as well.  It turned into a fracas and the headteacher was called.

Ah Jun, however, was able to hide in Qiu Chi’s cupboard. When everyone had gone, he let Ah Jun go but not before she saw his enviable abs and mesmerised by them.

Episode 7

The academy got burnt and the suspect initially was Qiu Chi as Bro Fu told Gen Hang that he saw Qiu Chi in the library at midnight.

Ah Jun stood up for Qiu Chi saying that she was there in the library to meet him.

Bro Fu was forced to confess to Gen Hang that Qiu Chi was fighting and chasing a man in black when the library was set on fire.

Episode 8

The freshman students were taken to a bonding outing in the mountains.  It started as a fun event where they had to be hunted by pseudo bandits. The students’ aim was to take the token from the bandits to pass the exercise.  The students were having a good time cooperating with each other and led by Qiu Chi when suddenly they were being accosted by the real bandits and it became survival of the fittest.

The students managed to hide in a cave but Ah Jun realised that they were missing  Zhao Qinghe.

Zhao Qinghe actually helped them to get away.

Qiu Chi made Ah Jun promised to leave stay and leave with Bro Fu but Ren Shu had other ideas.

Ah Jun made sure that her sister was astride the horse first then Bro Fu who reached out to help Ah Jun to get up as well but Ren Shu secretly stabbed the horse with her hairpin, thus the horse started running leaving Ah Jun.

Qiu Chi and Gen Hang were left and so were Qinghe and Ah Jun to fight the bandits.

Both Qiu Chi and Gen Hang were heavily injured.  Qiu Chi received an arrow almost to the heart.

Episode 9

They were rescued by the military but Qiu Chi remained comatose because of excessive loss of blood.

Ah Jun stayed and nursed him which frustrated Bro Fu.

When he complained that she was spending all her time with Qiu Chi and telling her that she was not his maid, Ah Jun got really annoyed with him and brought up the issue that he left her with the bandits and without Qiu Chi, she would not have been standing in front of him.

Anyway, he did apologise to her and also confessed that he had loved her since they were children.

Ah Jun said that she looked at him only as a beloved brother.

Ah Jun continued to stay in vigil on Qiu Chi.  She was on her way home almost past midnight when she was accosted by some drunk men.

Out of nowhere, a man came to her rescue.  Her saviour was the Deer Hero, Lu Xingyun.

Ah Jun did not lose the opportunity to ask him to teach her martial arts and be his disciple.  He declined at first but Ah Jun is one determined girl so in the end with bribes of jars of fine alcohol, Deer Hero agreed because Ah Jun reminds him of Xiaomei, whoever she is!

Meanwhile, Qiu Chi finally woke up.  He had a male bonding with Hang Ru Xue (Gen Hang).  Hang Ru Xue had promised him that he will return the favour for Qiu Chi saving his life.

RenShu was scared about what she did to Ah Jun not because she feels guilty about Ah Jun but she was afraid that she might get arrested.

Bro Fu confronted Ren Shu about what she did with the horse and how she could betray her sister but Renshu said that she was jealous of Ah Jun because Bro Fu loves her. Renshu then confessed that she loves Bro Fu.

Episode 10

Ren Shu went to Ah Jun and asked her to help her get together with Bro Fu.

Ah Jun agreed though not very enthusiastically.

Anyway she has got more in her mind other than her sister’s lovelife.

She balances her time looking after Qiu Chi and her kungFu lessons with Deer Hero.

RuXue and Qiu Chi have an uneasy alliance.

Episode 11

Qiu Chi went to the market town for the first time in ages.  He was immediately surrounded by ladies when they found out he was Qiu Chi the leader of the Unicorn.

They took him to the restaurant where coincidentally Ah Jun was on a blind date with Gaozi.

He told her off afterwards and threatened her not to out with any other men ever again.
