Episode 1
This drama started strong, stylish with a beautiful cast. Jin Dong looks gorgeously debonair and Lyric Lan was adorable despite her freezy hair.
Anyway, He Sai was telling their boss Feng Yin that losing their client, Ren Xiaonian, was no skin on their teeth. He was greedy and crooked.
Robin, however, disagreed, he said that he may be crooked but he has loads of money to throw.
He Sai said it was too late Ren Xiaonian was flying out of the country.
Robin said no problem as he sets Li Na to find out everything. Which she did.
Robin hurried to the airport and had a talk to Ren Xiaonian. He told him that changing commanders in the middle of a battle will be costly. Especially if you were about to make a merger.
Ren Xiaonian was surprised that Robin knew about the merger.
Meanwhile, Dai Xi worked in a coffee shop in between studies. She was dating Mai Fei.
She had an encounter with Robin one day when had to make a take out delivery into their law firm. It did not end well as she felt patronised.
Dai Xi has a flatmate who was a designer and wanted to sue Ren Xiaonian. Mei Fei and Mei Wei met Robin at the coffee shop to discuss the issue as Robin is representative for Ren Xiaonian.
The meeting ended with Robin offering Dai Xi a job.
Episode 2
Mei Fei was unhappy with how the meeting went. He wanted Robin to grovel but instead, Mei Wei was so happy with what she was offered.
Mei Fei and Dai Xi were eating out when their conversation turned ugly. He mentioned to her that she can’t get a job because of what happened during college.
Dai Xi was incensed and to show him she called Robin and asked him when she can start.
“Anytime”, said he.
When she turned up he immediately criticised her poodle look. He told her to change her hairstyle. He then asked her if she has a PhD, Master, of Bachelor? She told him that she did not finish college but she works very hard. She then showed him some of the letters on behalf of people.
Robin was impressed with her letter but made her promised not to tell anyone about her lack of a degree.
They went to meet a man who contravened his ex-boss dismissal notification. The man said that it was so unfair that he could not open his own business in the next two years doing similar jobs which he worked almost as a slave.
Robin said that that was the law.
While they were about to go back into the car, Robin and DaiXi got into an argument. Dai Xi said that it was so unfair, the man looks like he was at the end of his tether.
Robin was unmoved and was driven away leaving Dai Xi stranded.
She went back to see the man and asked him if he had a wife, father, mother? Because the exclusion contract was only for him. He could still start a business using his wife, or father, or mother’s name.
Episode 3
This drama has all the characters you can find in Suits.
This episode is about the effect of a merger where most of the company had to be made redundant. Robin and Dai Xi had to make all the employees sign the redundancy letters.
Dai Xi was really very uncomfortable with it and said so to Ren Xiaonian, who told Robin to dismiss her immediately.
Robin said he was unable to because that will cause litigation.
Episode 4
Robin’s sister who had been divorced from her husband was still very bitter towards him and won’t let him see his kid. She had also changed his name without consulting with her husband.
The husband was a great friend of Robin. And asked Robin is he could pass depression to a child.
Dai Xi had been helping his sister to get her job back until she was made redundant.
