Episode 1

According to a prologue, there was a distant planet from the Milky Way, our galaxy, called Penglai.

Penglai was populated with beings that can manipulate the power of the spirit to keep themselves young and driven.

Anyway a spaceship from Penglai crashed into Earth around thousand years ago.  The spaceship crumbled into countless pieces of jades that got scattered around the world.

People with an obsessive personality who find pieces of the jades are infected by the negative aspect of the jades.  Somehow their spirit will be manipulated by their own obsession.

There were survivors from the Penglai spaceship, they were called the Heavenly soldiers.  Their mission was to vanquish the obsessives to reclaim the jade pieces.

They one of the spirits met a beautiful heavenly soldier. They both fell in love with each other at first sight.  LOL

The Heavenly Soldier reformed the Spirit obsessive by the loving him unconditionally and tasking him to look after a pot of peach blossom.

The reformed Spirit was Bai Qi and he became the only spirited doctor in the world.

Sadly the Heavenly Soldier disappeared and all she had left him was the potted peach blossom.

Bai Qi lived through centuries to the present time hoping to see the Heavenly Soldier once again.

His wish came true when he met Lin Xia.  But he does not know it that Lin Xia was the reincarnation of the Heavenly Soldier.

Lin Xia at the present time was a terrible actress but would take any role to earn money to pay off the debts of her father.

One day, her agent told her that she had to act as the life and soul of a birthday party.  She was put in a box in a skimpy outfit and was told to surprise the birthday celebrant with a sexy song and a dance.

The box she was hidden was delivered in the wrong room.  It was in Bai Qi’s hotel room in fact.

While Lin Xia was singing and dancing provocatively, Bai Qi was mortified.  He cannot believe that humans would do such a thing.

Anyway, Bai Qi offered to pay her but she had to stop what she was doing but Lin Xia refused, remembering the instruction of her agent to be the life and soul of the party.  This was her last warning from her agent.

In the end, she got a call from her agent asking where she was, they realised that she was delivered in the wrong room.

Anyway, to make the story shorter, Lin Xia ended up breaking the pot of the peach blossom.  She took it away with her without Bai Qi knowing.  The peach blossom is his obsession.

He and his assistant had to find Lin Xia, who at that moment encountered Mr. Xiang, who hypnotised her using a jade pendant. He wanted her house and under his hypnotic command told Lin Xia to disappear from this Earth and never to return.

She was like a zombie when Bai Qi and his assistant found her.  She graciously returned the peach blossom to them.

Thinking that she was so docile, Bai Qi went back to find her.  He saw her standing by the edge of a bridge ready to jump to her death.

He was just in time to stop her.

He took her home and gave her brewed concoction from the leaves of the peach blossom.

Episode 2

Yang Jian is a heavenly soldier who had come back from his 100 years if hibernation.  He was looking for the other heavenly soldier to take over the hibernation process.  The Heavenly soldier was Lin Xia’s agent.

The agent told Yang Jian that he was no longer a heavenly soldier.  He had gotten rid of his jade bracelet.  Apparently this was required if they wanted to fall in love and be with a human.  The agent had gotten married and had a baby.

Yang Jian allowed him to leave the hibernation chamber.

This episode is about the love story of Xiang Buyan and his assistant Zi Xuan.

Xiang Bouyan was the man who hypnotised Lin Xia into giving him her house.

Bai Qi helped Lin Xia into getting back her house from Xiang Bouyan.  Bai Qi found out that Xiang Bouyan was a human rather than a spirit.  Bai Qi explained to Lin Xia that spirts are polluted humans.  Spiritual energy from the jade polluted themand now they are hunted by heavenly soldiers.

It turned out that Zi Xuan was the spirit and to cure Xiang Bouyan Bai Qi had to cure Zi Xuan first.  To do this he had to go inside her psyche, her imagination.

Bai Qi was surprised to find that Lin Xia was with him inside Zi Xuan’s psyche.  He can’t totally understand how this happened as he was sure that Lin Xia was fully human.

Anyway they both need the cloak of an umbrella for invisibility, otherwise, they will be attacked by other spirits inside Zi Xuan psyche.

They found out that Zi Xuan likes dressing in boy’s clothes and she was dressed like a boy when she first met Xiang Bouyan, who was a rich heir.

He gave her 100 bars of gold to stay with him and be his confidant and play the zither for him. Over time he would often asked her whether she was a boy or a girl.

Despite the seething feelings between them, she would say that she was a boy and not a girl.  But he was not daunted.  He would often send her girl’s clothes which she refused to wear.

This unresolved attraction lasted for a year until Bouyang asked her to travel to America with him.  She agreed but when he asked whether she was a boy or a girl, she still insisted that she was a boy.

She was in the ship bound for America when an acquaintance told her that Bouyang will not be turning up as he had been arrested for fraud and all his wealth and properties had been confiscated.

Finally, Zi Xuan went to find Bouyang.  She was dressed like a girl but Bouyang refused to see her.  He said that she was too pretty to enter his messy room.  He promised her tht he will fill his room with good and riches as her dowry to marry her one day.  He requested for her to play him the zither.

Like an omen, the zither string broke and then she found Bouyang dead.

Zi Xuan was so heartbroken she used her jade to bring Bouyang back to life.

Episode 3

Bai Qi and Lin Xia managed to get into Zi Xuan mind and made her accept that Bouyang is really dead but before that they helped her to have some form of closure by sort of going back in time and dressing like a real woman and confess her feelings to Bouyang.

Zi Xuan finally accepted that Bouyang was dead and gave her jade to Bai Qi and the key to Lin Xia’s house back to her.

Episode 4

Bai Qi and Yang Jian finally met and they had a lovely fighting scene.

Yang JIan knew that Bai Qi was a spirit but can’t believe that he has the Heavenly Soldier’s jade bracelet.

Meanwhile, a gang of youth was harassing Lin Xia to pay her father’s debts.  The harassment got so bad that Bai Qi who saw it felt sorry for Lin Xia.

Bai Qi made the three youth pay for what they did to Lin Xia.  He almost buried them alive which frightened the youth so much they changed their ways.  Bai Qi though was fair and pay for Lin Xia’s father’s debt.

Again, he noticed that he needed Lin Xia’s tender loving care to look after his peach blossom which started flowering when Lin Xia appeared in his life.

Bai Qi told Lin Xia that she will be the official peach blossom waterer and he would lease a room at the hotel for her.

Lin Xia disagreed.  She said she loved her house too much to leave it and also there was her actressing job.

As a comprise, Bai Qi moved into Lin Xia’s house.  He had quickly remodelled and it looked lush and airy which pleased her.  He even redecorated her own bedroom which she loved.

Episode 5

Xiao Xiao was on her way to a drama shooting when she runs over Yang Jian.  She seemed to have fallen in love with him at first sight because he was so handsome and agile.

Lin Xia was an extra in Xiao Xiao’s drama and she was playing a ghost.

The director was annoyed that Xiao Xiao was late once again but he decided to shoot the scenes where Lin Xia appeared as a ghost.

Lin Xia was tethered and was ready to be hoisted to fly or glide around when the director said that she was pre-empting the shoot by gliding already without his direction.

Lin Xia said that she had not moved and the rest of the cast and crew agreed with her but as the director looked into the monitor, he saw a ghostly figure flying around and was moving towards Lin Xia.

Everybody noticed it and they started running away, fearful of the ghost.

But Lin Xia decided to investigate and found a boy who was responsible for the ghostly figure.

Episode 6

It turned out that the boy has an aunt who was a spirit and begged Lin Xia to find a cure for his aunt.

Lin Xia immediately thought of Bai Qi and begged for his help.

He declined but the next morning he went to the set of the drama to find the aunt.

The aunt said that she does not want any treatment and that she requests that the boy does not come back to see her anymore.

It turned out the aunt was obsessive about her disfigurement in her face.  She does not want her nephew to abhor her face and get frightened of her.

The aunt had been using the power of the jade to camouflage her looks and because of this she started to turn into an evil spirit and it was incurable.

Lin Xia felt so much pity for the boy because she found out that he had always known how his aunt look.  Apparently the boy had the DNA for Heavenly Soldier so his eyes can see through things.

The boy said that even when she first saw his aunt he was not afraid, instead, he loved her and respected her like a real aunt.

The boy was not related to the boy,  the father of the boy left him sitting on the step of the lady’s house because the new stepmother finds the boy weird and brings bad luck.

Anyway, the only way that they could cure the aunt was to go into her psyche while the flute of the Heavenly Soldier was being played.

Bai Qi said that no one in the world could play the flute, not even him.

Lin Xia grabbed the flute from Bai Qi and started playing it.

Bao Qi was surprised but he told Lin Xia that as the incense stick reaches a certain level, she must run away so she does not die with them.

Bai Qi found it hard to defeat the lady especially when Lin Xia stopped playing the flute as she had run out of steam.  But a mysterious pair of hands started helping her.

The aunt was cured and they got out of the building which started to collapse.

Episode 7

The boy confessed to his aunt that he had always known what she looked like and loved her despite her scary scarred look.  He loved her for nurturing and caring ways and her kindness which he had not experience form his real family.

So it ended well and the Auntie willingly surrendered her jade earrings to Bao Qi.

Meanwhile Lin Xia was in trouble with her manager for not attending the audition he arranged for her.

Lin Xia said that if the director really wanted her for hs show then he would not mind seeing her again for an audition.

Her manager took her to a party where the director would show up.

He did show up and Xiao Xiao was also there who dragged Yang Jian with him.

When Lin Xia came to say hello to the director, Yang Jian immediately noticed her which annoyed Xiao Xiao.

She had been ignored by Yang Jiang all that time and yet he couldn’t wait to speak to Lin Xia.

Xiao Xiao pushed her assistant towards Lin Xia who fell into the pool.

She was bobbing up and down and yet no one went to jump in to save her except Bao Qi who realised after snipping something the peach blossom tree that his first love might be reincarnated to Lin Xia.

Yang Jiang first saw Lin Xia in an art school.  So taking this into consideration, he enrolled in the same school despite lacking acting talent, energy for it or even a little enthusiasm.

Anyway, it paid off because he did find Xia Lin at the school and they became fast friends.

This did not go well with Bao Qi, who had become rather proprietorial towards Lin Xia.

Lin Long came to see Bao Qi to asked him a favour to see, investigate and cure an old friend, Hai Ming Qian, who was a painter based in Tianhai.

Lin Xia said she wanted to go to Tianhai with Bao Qi.

Yang Jiang found out about Tianhai and went with them as well.  He told Bao Qi that now that he found Xia Lin/Xiao Lin he would protect her.

And he made good of this.

Bao Qi, Xia Lin and Yang Jiang were hired as servants at the painter’s house.

They found him stanged and taciturn.

Bao Qi gave Xia Lin a jade whistle to use in case she met up with some problems. One blow and he would be there no matter how far she was.

She was also given the same kind of whistle by Yang Jiang.

Lin Xia was listening in outside the painter’s room when she heard him sounding rather agitated.

She went in and he looked so frightened, she then saw a ghost of a young woman with a scarred face.

Hai Ming Qian told Lin Xia to leave.

When she did try to leave, she was confronted by the ghost girl.

Episode 10 – 11

Both Bao Qi and yang Jiang appeared at the same time to save her.

It turned out the ghost girl was Irene, the ex-live in girlfriend of Hai Ming Qian.

Apparently it was a case of love at first sight when Hai Ming Qian first saw Irene.  Before long they were together and he started painting her using his jade pen, completely forgetting the instruction left to him by Mr Liu, who gave him the pen when he became his tutor when he was still a boy.

Mr Liu said “Never draw or paint a portrait of the one you love because you do, they will leave you.”

Unfortunately, Hai Ming Qina can’t help himself.  He drew a mural of Irene on a wall as well as a pencil one of her.  He became obsessed with painting her that he did not actually have time for her.

She then met Cui Zhi Sheng who was a known playboy.  She became his muse and painted her.

Hai Ming Qian got to hear it and jumped into the conclusion that she was having an affair with Cu Zhi Sheng and was ready to leave him.

He did not give her a chance to say what she was trying to hesitantly tell him.  He just heaped degrading insult towards her. He ripped a pencil drawing of her in half which she picked up carefully.  She then left.

Hai Ming Qian became a degenerate, until one day he met Cui Zhi Sheng who told him that he never had a thing going with Irene.  What she was going to tell him was that she was carrying Hai Ming Qian’s baby.

Irene became Hai Ming Qian’s obsession.  And the ghost was a product of the evil spirit from the jade pen.

Having found this out, they tried to help Hai Ming Qian and go into his psyche to help him reconnect with Irene,

Unfortunately, Yang Jiang gatecrashed the procedure and vanquished Irene.

Lin Xia was as upset as Bao Qi with Yang Jiang.

There was no other way to help Hai Ming Qian to get over his obsession until LIn Xia saw a woman who looks exactly like Irene.

The girl pretended to be Irene but Hai Ming Qian knew immediately that she was a fake because he said you can fake anything but not the expression in one’s eyes.

But it turned out that the girl was his great-granddaughter.

It ended well and Hai Ming Qian was reconciled to the fact that Irene loved him until her death.

As a thank you, Hai MIng Qian told Bao Qi that he was going to paint him the deepest darkest secret that was troubling his mind.

He did and he put the drawing in a big envelope for Bao Qi.  What or who could it be?
