Feng Ru Che was being hunted by several factions in order to use her secure the power of her parents.  Like her, Xue Jing Kong was a golden-winged being who was the most powerful magician alive.

Episode 1

Feng Ru Che was the daughter of Feng Tianyi and Yi Fuling.  Those two went into hiding.

Feng Ru Chen grew up fending for herself and as such had learned a lot of many tricks.

When she had just turned eighteen, she was doing some of her tricks against a rather cruel guy who tried to molest her and ended up blind. She escaped and came across Teacher Xue Jing Kong, who told her that he could cure her blindness provided she changed her ways and lead a more upright life.

Jing Kong asked her for the things she stole from the nasty guy.  She was annoyed at first but gave him the ring and while he was otherwise engaged she ran away and used her rope to climb up into the roof in order to scape.

She dropped a jade amulet at the same time as her rope started to drop and her with it.  But suddenly, a pair of golden wings sprouted from her back making her able to fly.

She was so surprised but elated that she could fly.

She was then accosted by guards who she thought was there to arrest her but instead, they started to kneel down in front of her because they recognised her as the Golden Winged Empress.

They took her to the palace where another winged creature was about to be enthroned as the new Empress.  But the head guard announced that they have got the Golden Winged Empress.

Both girls showed their wingspan.

Ru Che’s was more dramatic and impressive.

But to make sure they had to take the DNA of both girls to determine their parentage.

Ru Che and her guard were on their way to the Golden DNA Forensic when they were ambused by guards belonging to the other prince.

Jing Kong turned up as he seemed to feel a connection with Ru Che.

Unfortunately, Ru Che was stabbed at the back.

I like this new drama but I have to say, the first one is still my favourite because of the cast.  But having said that Jeremy Tsui and Uvin Wang are also watchable.  I like Ru che, she is a feity character and kickass empress.  Jeremy Tsui is gorgeous but he looked so tired.  Was that his character?

Episode 2

Ru Che ‘died’ at Jing Kong arms.  But he told her that he was going to look after her.  He then reversed time and gave most of his Qi, his spirit energy.  She got better but he got weaker.

Anyway, her guard found her and reminded her that the DNA testing was about to happen and they were going to be late.

They were just in time to stop the proceeding of making the other girl as the official empress.

But when Ru Che tried the DNA machine, it did not do anything and she was arrested for being fake.  Ru Che complained that she never wanted to be empress anyway.

But then, she said if she was not the empress, why was she ambushed on her way to the palace.  She then deduced that the machine was tampered with.

And she noticed immediately that a maid near the machine had blue fingernail, which meant that she was a culprit who inserted a silken fibre to the machine making it ineffectual.

With a threat of beheading, the maid confessed and pointed to the other winged girl as the real culprit.

Ru Che stopped both girls beheading because she does not want blood during her coronation.

Meanwhile, Jing Kong was being looked after by his teacher.

Episode 3

Ru Che is now the empress and the first thing in her decree was too lower down the taxes..

All at once, all her rejoicing supporters abandoned her.  The Crown Prince said that lowering down the tax will ruin the principality.  Plus the fact that they spent a lot of money during her coronation.

Even her own guard abandoned her.  The Crown Prince ordered him to find a fit handsome young man to amuse her.

This young man was Xue Jing Kong, who will be her teacher.

Xue Jing Kong wanted to get close to her because he reckoned that she knew where his brother, Yun Mu Yang was.

Yun Mu Yang saved him from the frozen pond two years ago.
